Place to stick my head down after a night out and trains not running This hotel is so dated The lifts are atrocious, punch buttons never come Convoluted floor plan Obnoxious security guard at end of corridor who couldn’t be bothered to direct me the right direction without being sarcastic Dated rooms Poor amenities The location is the only good thing about this place I’ve spent over 70 days away this year in 34 cities and 12 countries This was far and away the worst stay of them all

Horribly hard beds, ridiculously small shower that doesn’t fit a normal sized adult. Elevators are super slow and tiny. Staff doesn’t have a clue about parking and may or may not offer assistance with luggage when the only way to get to the lobby is thru a set of stairs. Nearest parking lot is creepy and dangerous to go at night.

If I'm being honest, if not for the location I would not consider staying there again. The space is under renovation/refurbishment, and merely navigating the hallways needed a road map. The room itself was one of the smallest I've ever seen. Holes in the walls, still left from the refurbishment (I'd been "upgraded" into one of the newly re-fit rooms). I never thought I would complain about the water pressure in the shower being too strong. But it was. The water could have stripped the paint off a car. And in a shower that tiny, it actually hurt a bit (and there was no ability to adjust that, simply an "on" or "off." I barely fit on the bed, and almost fell out of it the first night. And the curtains were hung directly above the heating unit... which not only creates a fire hazard, but prevents the hot air from entering the room. Oh, and that malfunctioned on the day of my check out, leaving the room rather chilly, to say the least. Anyway. The location is fantastic.

Great location and transport connections
Very convenient location near Dominion Theatre and Oxford Street, tube and 176 bus stop very close that goes to Leicester Square and Strand/Covent Garden. Upgraded when checked in, lifts to room. Clean, good size room, lovely shower and clean facilities. One bar of soap and towels provided, no shampoo or body wash unlike other hotels. Tea, cofee kettle and fridge provided as well as a safe. Very good room for the price and location. Very welcoming staff as well. Place is currently being renovated per signs, but not affected by anything where I was.

The room allocated to our booking was on the 2nd floor, which looked like a construction site and very nosey! The sink was not cleaned with hair and soap residue from previous use. The room stank of cigarettes, and it was appalling. We complained to the reception staff and we were allocated to one of their newer rooms on the 6th floor which was better but very noisy due to the building works happening outside! Quite expensive for what you get and a bit of a nuisance, which you don't need after a day's work!

So let down
For the amount we paid for this hotel for one night we were so disappointed. The bed squeaked badly, less than half the lifts worked and you could only go down from another floor not up. Used the stairs to walk down nine floors and as we were walking through to the lobby overhead pipes were leaking. We had to tell them this and the buckets that they then used to collect the water contained yellow water so we wondered what was coming out of those pipes. Breakfast was equally as disappointing and there were no in room toiletries.

Absolutely awful stay. My room had no heating, like a radiator. The room was really cold. A small portable radiator was in the room, which was off on my arrival. Despite the room being really small, this small radiator lacked the capacity to heat the room sufficiently. Thankfully, this was only an overnight stay. Check out was 11am. Despite having the ‘I’m resting’ sign on the door outside, I was given an early wake up call at 9am by housekeeping, who clearly wanted to evict me. The location of the property is prefect for exploring central London. However, that’s where anything good ends.
