We were three adults booked a room with two queen beds we were upgraded to a room for two with one bed.when we went down to reception the receptionist said it would take her a long time to find us another room.as we were going to a show and time was tight we accepted a roll in single bed.

An excellent hotel full of character
A good hotel with exceptional staff. A clean, comfortable room. Our only problem was that there was no tv controller and we could not switch off the welcome screen when we wanted to sleep. A member of staff brought round a controller at midnight so that we could at last sleep. We should have reported it as went out for the evening, not when we got back i think!

Only one of two rooms booked was ready at 3pm check in. Because we were booked for Afternoon Tea at 3.30pm we all had to squeeze into one bedroom to wash and change. Rooms were not as booked ie both had 2 singles instead of one double. Considering the price we paid this is not acceptable.
