Great location. Only complaint, our room did not have washcloths. We asked the staff but all they had was additional hand towels. Otherwise a great stay

I arrived at the hotel just before 10:30 and after checking in I wanted to go and have a nightcap in the hotel bar but it closed at 10pm so little choice but to retire to my room. Breakfast next morning was buffet but after being seated I got no instruction at all from the server. I only learnt by chance that I could have had an omelette made from hearing someone else ordering. Limited choice of either continental or cooked at this was before 8am. Upon checkout, no enquiry from reception on my stay. I have now been home nearly two weeks and the hotel has still a hold on my credit card for £240 despite me paying in full on leaving. Called to get this removed and was told it was but cc company confirmed that it hadn’t. Rang back and left voice mail but no one contacted me back and email sent to Montcalm email account was ignored. Not a five star experience by any stretch of the imagination.

As with most London rooms, small. However, I really liked it! Comfortable and just “neat!” Unique layout and a block from Paddington Station which made getting to Heathrow a breeze!

My daughter and I stayed here for our last night in London. Had I realized how nice it was, I would have stayed here our entire stay (we were in a VRBO with extended family). The room was beautiful, and the staff was so gracious about an additional last-minute guest we had. I will definitely be back and cannot recommend highly enough!

A Great Spot in London
The staff was incredibly friendly and the location was ideal. My trip would not have been the same if I had stayed elsewhere in London. Our favorite was the daily walks through Hyde Park.

The location was great but the sheets were pilled and the pillows were as flat as pancakes. The hairdryer was missing along with hangers in the closet. Room was in the basement which I did NOT like, as it had no natural light. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

This is not a 5-star hotel as posted. This shouldn’t be even 4 stars. It is convenient as it’s very close to Paddington Station, but that is about it. Rooms so small that you can’t even open a suitcase, stinky carpets, employees that don’t even offer to help with the luggage. Would not go back ever again.
