The service was excellent. The ugly art deco decor was so ugly, let down. Was expecting something a bit more British and cool. There are apparently pool hours for kids which was annoying. No one told me. I have a 6 year old child and kids are only allowed at the pool from 8am-12pm and 4-6pm. The lounge access was excellent.

They attempted to charge us for two rooms, since I shared trip info with friends but hadn’t booked a second room. They didn’t include breakfast though our friends had that benefit and we both booked with our AMEX cards. The restaurant service was poor. My view from the room was a brick wall! Never staying here again!

Timeless Elegance

Timeless Elegance. The majestic architecture reflects the historic grandeur of the hotel. Gracious, friendly and hardworking Staff. The entire hotel is luxurious and polished to perfection. Impressive attention to detail and cleanliness. Sweet Dreams nurtured by comfy beds, cradled by crisp linens, fluffy pillows and duvets.. Our room was well appointed and tastefully decorated. The main dining room was reminiscent of Art Deco Glamour. Cascading Chandeliers suspended from vaulted ceilings, decorative mirror accents on walls and ceiling. I especially admired the scrolling black metal ornate gates studded with Jewel Tone Glass Spheres, that looked like Floating Gems, guarding multiple entrances to the ballroom dining area. The French Chef created exquisite culinary delights, including Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and sumptuous dinners. The swimming pool was perfect for laps and water exercise, and the area was beautifully appointed with a decorative pattern of polished and sparkling stone walls. The spa treatments relieved aches and pains, and renewed vitality after the long journey from Los Angeles to London. I look forward to re-visiting the Langham Hotel in London.

The Langham is a very well-kept property, and very clean. The staff is attentive. This was a "treat" stay for me celebrating my 70th birthday, so I was a bit let down that such an expensive hotel had such tiny rooms and horrible views (an neighboring roof). I quickly found neighborhood alternatives to the not-great restaurants on-site. BUT BEWARE. I was robbed while there. And the room phones were difficult to use (my cell phone was stolen). You have no idea how we rely on our cell phones--and how little the hotel phone tech has kept up. If I were to treat myself again, I would not pay so much attention to price as an indicator of how much of a "treat" I was getting. This was just expensive with a lot of over-the-top personal service when I was looking more for a luxurious room and amenities.

An extremely comfortable stay with a great room, spacious bathroom and attention to detail Breakfast was delicious and the staff were without fail friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location although I would avoid Oxford Street. We will definitely be back for any future special occasions in central London!

Absolutely the most lovely hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff is incredibly pleasant, and attention to detail is unmatched. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Langham London, from room service, porters, reception staff, and housekeeping to the special attention for our honeymoon.
