Check in was extremely busy, took around 40mins, more desks open would have been useful. A staff member was rude to my children for having a seat on the ground during this time, they were watching something on my phone, not bothering anyone. If they don’t want kids sitting around they should speed up their check in process… Also, bring earplugs, the windows of the rooms are single glazed in a very noisy area of central London. Despite this, we would stay again, the location and the room itself is ideal, modern and clean and good value for money.

This was our first time at the Royal National Hotel. It was clean and bright. Quiet at night. Check in was very busy but we were taken to another check in desk. Staff were pleasant and professional. The room was made up daily. The area outside felt safe and not overwhelming. Nearby places to eat. The Underground/tube was in walking distance. I would recommend and stay again if visiting London.

Amazing, caring staff

I stayed here with my Mum and my daughter. The hotel was very spacious, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. But what stood out for me was the way that all the staff treated my Mum. She experienced a fall in her room, resulting in the fire brigade being called plus paramedics, and a short visit to the local hospital for her. The hotel staff could not have done more for her. We had to move rooms, following her fall, but, again, the staff were amazing. When things go wrong, it's nice that there are people who help and care. Thank you all so much!

Small, but cozy and functional room- very clean and comfortable. I appreciate that this hotel provides a breakfast option, which had many options to choose from and allowed us to start our day well-fed. Tube stations are within easy walking distance, as is the British Museum and University of London. Very convenient.

The hotel was very convenient -- close to the underground as well as located close to many shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Everything was walkable. The hotel was always quite busy, so it did get a bit noisy at times. But overall, the hotel facilities were good!

Great place as a base when visiting London. Very clean and tidy with attentive staff. Breakfast recommended as plenty of choice and buffet style - full English will cost you £12 locally. Room was big and decor nice and relaxing. Couple of bars on site that were great. Check-in can can be busy but staff manage it well. A good test of service was requesting more tea bags at 10:30 pm - they arrived ten minutes later, better than many more expensive hotels! Was surprised at how good eveything was for the money - save yourself £150 and stay here!
