Quirky and stylish hotel. Room was spacious with nice little touches like a pour over coffee brewer with ground coffee, and a Bluetooth speaker (although we couldn’t get this to work with our device for some reason). We didn’t spend any time in the restaurant or bar, but explored then briefly and they had a really nice relaxed atmosphere. For some reason the room got uncomfortably hot overnight, despite starting the night with the temperature control nearly at minimum, and the flow control at max. Had to get up at about 4am to turn the control to minimum temperature, which did improve comfort but overall resulted in a disturbed night. Front desk staff were helpful and mentioned that we could have called them at any time, but to be honest I just wanted to go back to bed asap! The only other thing I would improve is that the shower head was quite blocked with scale, and is probably the kind of thing that easily gets missed or not tested when cleaning. Overall a really pleasant experience.

What a wonderful hotel! From the lovely check in staff, to the beautiful room, we had an amazing stay. We were celebrating an anniversary, and received a lovely card and bottle of prosecco. Such a lovely surprise. The bed was large and very comfortable, the view over London, with the Shard, was spectacular. We would recommend this lovely hotel, and hope to return again soon.Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Fawlty Towers Standard - check in was chaotic as systems down which is one of those things but there was no communication from senior management and their back up manual process was v slow, clearly didn’t work and several days later they’ve not refunded deposit. The retro 1974 design is quirky, albeit grated after a bit and just added to the feeling that we’d maybe accidentally booked a Fawlty Towers hotel experience.
