I’ve been staying at the Strand for over 20 years. And has become a second home when I travel to London. The door people remember my name and everyone will do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Comfortable bed, great location, but overall just ok. Strange bathroom with no towel bars. I had to hang my towel in the closet to dry. Drafty windows (in January), so the shudders needed to stay closed all the time otherwise it was freezing. Only three small elevators and one was out of service, so waiting time was long. We actually opted to walk five flights, even with our bags at check out rather than wait in the queue.

Favourite hotel in London
I always stay here for solo trips in London as their single rooms are one of the best value in the city. You can't beat the location and the convenience of a large hotel (dedicated, separate luggage service, 24h reception, express check out) but obviously, do not stay there if you want a boutique hotel. My only grief is with their elevators. Too few, too slow.

Very friendly staff. Very clean and well maintained. Only downside was that u could hear some traffic from below, but you are in the heart of the city, so it is to be expected. Loved it!

Stayed in a single room which is perfect for business travellers. Great location, tons to do in the evenings. A nice Green initiative if you are staying a couple of nights is that you receive a £7 food/drinks voucher if you opt out of a mid stay room clean.

I've stayed at the Strand Palace before, both single and double rooms but my allocated room on this occasion was pretty poor. Very small and featureless. Even the kettle didn't function properly !
