Excellent choice close to Paddington and Hyde Park
Arrived early but by the time we’d had lunch there our room was ready ( ahead of time). Receptionist was excellent, all staff greet you. Room was clean and lovely outlook over the park. Breakfast was excellent with good choices and no plastic jam/marmalade containers- all from jars. Really impressed and for the price - excellent!

Pros: excellent location, room size good considering price. Rooms clean and well maintained. On site bar open late, with attentive staff. Front office staff very pleasant, even considering the high volume of check ins and check outs that happen each day. Near a metro station and across from Kensington Garden (we enjoyed the view of the Garden from our room on an upper floor). Suggestions: The Bar/Restaurant bathrooms get a pretty high volume and need to be cleaned more frequently throughout the day. Note: If you have any physical challenges, the elevators get backed up with the many travelers with lots of luggage. We used the stairs most to the time, which was fine, but if you have physical mobility issues and are using this hotel as a base, you may be a bit frustrated.

Nice hotel on a budget
Comfortable 3-night stay at a very small Thistle hotel. The air conditioning didn’t work well so we slept with the window open and the bathroom floors always got soaking wet whenever we showered. These hotels really should provide better shower tub coverage. We requested more floor towels each day as they were always needed. Very good location with 2 Underground stations within a few minutes’ walk. Also very convenient for the Big Brown Bus Hop On Hop Off service. Also very convenient being just across the street from Kensington Palace. Friendly staff and nice English breakfast in the restaurant across from the lobby.

Good location. Booked a ‘deluxe’ double for extra space but was disappointing and very standard and tight for 2 people. Otherwise was comfortable. Liked the eco incentive of 7 pound voucher for managing without housekeeping. Would stay again.

This is a great spot to stay if you have young kids. Being so close to Hyde Park (Princess Diana Memorial playground!), the bus and the tube made getting around super easy. The staff are so friendly. We got in too early to check in, but they held our bags for us so we could go exploring.

Love this hotel
Hotel is in a great location opposite Kensington Gardens and close to pubs, restaurants, and the Underground. Spacious rooms that are well maintained and very clean. Highly recommend this hotel because while being close to the above it is also very quiet. Very accommodating staff. One disadvantage is the elevators are a bit slow but the stairs work!

Wonderful staff, Hotel is in a convenient walking distance from Paddington station. Close to two blind and bus routes. Hotel room felt a little rundown, however it was clean and well-maintained. The dining option for the hotel did leave something to be desired. Staff was delightful and helpful. However, the food was bland and poorly presented. I would personally stay at this property, but I would not access the food option within the hotel

Good choice for tourists
It was perfect for what I was seeking. Close to two train stations and all the activity of Queensway and Bayswater but removed enough that it was a bit quiet. The room itself was comfortable and the staff were helpful.

It was a business trip so this hotel did the job. Very small dated room but clean. Tiny elevators. Check in and check out was not very quick. Location is good with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

We loved the location of this property, very easy to get around, there are both tube and bus stations very close by. The rooms are fine, nothing to complain about but not particularly comfortable, there is some good storage. The beds are pretty firm. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel as we were out exploring most of the days. Overall enjoyed our stay, would consider staying again but also interested in trying another property. Staff were very helpful and welcoming!
