The hotel was very noisy. You can hear the planes all night, you need earplugs. Everything dated… so carpets don’t feel very clean even though they may have been. Otherwise good for a quick overnight.

The hotel is very old and dated. They were ripping up carpets so had to drag all my things through the carpark instead of the corridor. Toilet didn’t flush. No hairdryer. Gluten free meal made me very unwell- obviously cross contaminated which isn’t great before a long haul flight. Bed was comfortable but the rest of the hotel needs a complete overhaul.

Very convenient for Heathrow T5 with a local bus that goes straight to the airport. The hotel room we stayed in was quite dated in terms of decor. That, said the bed was very comfortable which is great for an early mornng flight.

Very much enjoyed the POD journey from Terminal 5 and back- so convenient! Sadly our room was on the 1st floor and there was no lift- a nightmare with luggage. The room was clean and tidy so all good there!

Property was fine. Good for a layover and early flight out of terminal 5. Pod to get to and from hotel was interesting but convenient. Ended up getting to the hotel earlier than planned but was nervous as hotel never responded to my few messages asking to confirm if there would be any issues arriving after midnight since their instructions said to confirm with hotel if you were arriving late.

Perfect for early morning flight

Perfect place to stay to catch early flight. Parked in Pod parking and quick access through gate to hotel. Back through gate in the morning and pod to terminal. Everything was clean and functional. Staff friendly. Just a little aged. Food is basic but worked well

Check in was swift and Reception staff were extremely efficient and polite. Room itself was lacking - not terribly clean, although bed was comfortable enough. None of the plug sockets worked however, which we reported to Reception. Someone came up and fixed some of the sockets, but there were still some not working, including the kettle socket. As we were only staying one night, we did not push further.

We liked the fact we where able to take a pod from The airport to the hotel. It meant we didn’t have to stay in the airport for our 12 hour layover. Also, the bed was very comfortable and the Pubs food was great.

Ideal if needing to overnight near Terminal 5 Heathrow. Clean tidy basic rooms with aircon. Good restaurant catering for GF also. Staff helpful. The pod transport was great. Could have done with a better pillow as they were all a bit lumpy.

We were extremely disappointed with this "hotel". The Thistle was definitely not as advertised. The room was very tiny, the bathroom extremely small and with bedroom furniture outdated and very worn. The windows were grimy and cloudy. Air Freshener was highly utilized throughout the hotel and more in the room to cover up any questionable smells. Not to mention the corridors could barely accommodate 2 travellers, going in different directions, with luggage. My husband and I will never stay there again.
