Fantastic service and friendly staff.

We recently stayed here for our silver anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From check in to check out the staff were friendly and helpful. The room (deluxe king) was of a good size with fantastic views across Leicester Square. The bathroom as also well proportioned with a large shower which had both a waterfall head above and a convention hose attachment for the harder to reach area's. The room was clean and nice and cool during the heat wave thanks to the aircon, which was a god send. The bed was huge and really comfy. Breakfast was the normal buffet fare which was enjoyable but unexceptional. Let down even further by the lack of plant based options available. My partner is vegan and there was limited options, we were told on our last day that the kitchen could prepare hash browns and vegan sausages, Why is this not publicised in the dining hall? Similarly we requested plant based milk for the room only be delivered more dairy milk. I tried to explain that I had requested dairy free but it was impossible due to them not speaking or understanding a word of English. Apart from the lack of plant based option, we had a really great stay, and I'll say it again the staff were fantastic, especially Cyril from the breakfast team.

Lovely hotel, location and staff

A nice hotel in a wonderful location for Soho and china town. The hotel staff dealt with my oxygen bottles I need for my lung condition. Generally a lovely stay with lovely staff.

Room didn't match the pictures

We didn't get the room we were expecting. We reserved a Deluxe Room with City view. The pictures showed a beautiful room with view of the London Eye. Instead we were given a room that somewhat resembled the picture but worn out and no city view. The horrible view was of the roof of the building next door. We complained and were told the room we reserved was not available until the next day. They moved us the next day to the top floor (7th). When we got into the room, it seemed like we had been put in the worse room in the hotel. It looked like an attic, with paint peeling, much smaller and with a musty smell. The whole 7th floor smelled like mold. It did have a city view, but no London Eye, and we had to look at it through small dingy attic windows. There was no safe and the bathroom was a shower/tub combination hard to get in and out, with a glass door with a gap that let water out. The cleaning crew however was good and they did the best they could with a room in bad need of remodeling. One of the elevators worked on and off and it stopped for a few seconds in between floors.

Very firm bed.

Great location if you need to be right in the centre of London. Did not get a good nights sleep as the bed was very firm and pillows not particularly comfortable either. Our deluxe room had very basic amenities, and in particular no slippers. For the rate we paid, we left feeling disappointed.

Always a pleasure to stay here. Great location in Piccadilly , east to walk to. Staff so welcoming and swift check in and out. Rooms very clean and quiet, my room was super spacious nice large bed and complimentary water. The lady who was cleaning was a delight and offered to help fasten my dress I was struggling with for an event later that morning before check out. Highly recommended! Stayed for past 3 years when needs be.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating after we arrived a bit early for check in and made arrangements to get us a room. We had matinee tickets to see Wicked that day so that was a tremendous help and gesture on their part. Very much appreciative of the staff’s consideration and understanding. Will definitely consider this hotel again when we’re back in London.
