Subject: Excellent Location, Clean Room, But One Unappealing Detail
My recent four-night stay at the Thistle Trafalgar hotel was, on the whole, a very positive experience. The hotel's location is its single biggest asset, offering unparalleled access to public transport. We found it incredibly easy to navigate London with the bus, Tube, and tour buses all within a very short walk. This made exploring the city a breeze.
The room itself was clean and well-maintained. We had to ask for luggage racks, but the staff was prompt and brought them up to our room immediately, which was a nice touch. One minor observation was the amount of carpet in the room, which made it a bit difficult to roll our luggage around, but this was a small issue.
The hotel's proximity to various shops and the vibrant Chinatown was a huge plus. We enjoyed the convenience of having so many dining and shopping options right at our doorstep. While the touristy shops and restaurants in the area were a bit on the pricey side, the food we had was still great.
The only real downside to our stay was the shower. While the rest of the room was clean, the shower stall had a black, mold-like residue visible under what appeared to be fresh caulking. This was quite unappealing and detracted from an otherwise great stay.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Thistle Trafalgar for its fantastic location and clean rooms. It's an ideal base for exploring London, and the staff is very helpful. If the
