Great place but unnecessarily stressful check in.

Great place and location. Everything is new, loved being able to sit on the roof terrace in the evening. My only complaint was about the check-in procedure, even though I’d booked and paid online ages ago I needed to produce phone ID in the form of a passport or driving licence. Never heard of this in my own country! , didn’t have either on me but had 2 debit cards in my name on me , that was refused. Thankfully I remembered that I had a railcard on my phone, that was acceptable . We found the whole process of check-in stressful as we didn’t know if we were going to be allowed to stay.

My room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Short walk to underground station made this a great base for exploring the city. The area is quiet, but always has enough activity to feel safe. As a single traveler, I was perfectly comfortable walking after dark. Friendly staff made it a great place.

There are so many pros with the hotel it’s unfortunate I have to still post a negative. It’s beautiful, new (1yr) , fabulous location, right on the tube line, attentive staff, and has a cool rooftop terrace. The negative is the noise. There is a lot of construction in the courtyard and adjoining buildings. I can’t comprehend a new build with 12 floors not including aircon. The stagnant heat in the room was almost unbearable even when the window was open. I would definitely return when construction is over and not during the summer for sure.

Even in the heat

Wonderful friendly greeting on arrival, room was clean and modern in aesthetics. It was helpful that we could open the window as the view was interesting of Canary Wharf. The location was perfect for us as close to the tube, one stop away from the 02 as we were going to a concert there. The area has lots of bars, art and restaurants around and a lovely shady park to sit in as well as close to the shopping malls in Canary Wharf. We stayed on the hottest weekend of the year and I struggled sleeping with the heat and the reception staff where so helpful putting a fan in the room. The facilities were excellent in the room meaning we could buy food from close by supermarkets and prepare it in the little kitchen. I would definitely recommend staying here and can’t wait to visit again.

No air conditioning made the room the hottest I have ever been in. There was a small electric fan but it didn’t make a great deal of difference. The room had excellent sound proofing and was an easy 5 minute walk from Canary Wharf tube station.

We stayed here for an affordable option close to the O2 arena, it was very clean, and the staff (specifically Simon) were so welcoming, accommodating and helpful, he managed to find us a room and get us checked in early so that we could leave our stuff in our room due to having plans out that afternoon. Overall our experience was great and we would recommend this place highly

The absence of air-condition in the room was extremely challenging during heatwave. When I asked for the fans, were told that none were available. Have to keep window open all night to get some fresh and relatively cool air, but it was extremely loud. Did not sleep well at all during the whole 7 night stay.

Comfortable, modern, clean and cosy. Great location, close to the tube. Cafe on the ground floor near the apartment. Well stocked kitchen. Powerful shower, loved the who gives a crap toilet paper! We stayed on a very hot weekend so the room was warm, we took our own fan so this helped us have a more comfortable night. Staff polite and helpful.
