Worse stay ever!

Terrible, got to the hotel checked in was given my room key went to my room and someone was already in the room staying! I had booked a twin room for my son & I to be told there is no twin room left will need to put us in a double room. They put us down to the basement in a room which was filled with smoke smell. That night my son had to sleep on the floor as the bed was more of a queen that double, whilst on the floor he noticed cigarette ash and doubts underneath the bed, tried to have a shower and the smell of sourage took over i had to turn it off and go up stairs and ask to get moved immediately. I showed the receptionist the pictures and she spoke with the hotel manager who advised to move room with a full refund. The new room wasnt much better but didnt smell of smoke was just unkept and the shower you couldnt move in. When i was checking out i asked for proof to show hotels.com of me to get my full refund and was told its ok as soon as the request the will give it. Hotels.com have just emailed me advising the cant get a response for an email! SO PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!

Brilliant on a budget

The location is brilliant, hotel is great for the price. We had 2 double rooms, one was a a small double bed, not big enough for 2 adults and the other room has 2 single beds pushed together to make a big double. If your booking its maybe best to select a twin rather than having a tiny bed. Everything was fine, I feel the reviews are very harsh. I would definitely stay again and recommend.

This has got to be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. So many complaints and will be asking for a refund. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. No staff when we arrived to check in and had to wait. Took a copy of my driving licence which I’ll be asking for when I book out. Bathroom was a closet with no ventilation, no shower mat, shower head covered in limescale , a nasty shower curtain, no light in shower so showered in the dark, beds were tiny and one was a put up bed, bedding was a sheet and blanket with one very flat pillow, room was like a sauna and the bathroom was even worse, tv had one channel which was the London news, unable to open the window more than a few inches to let air in so also a fire hazard, no phone to contact staff or complain, very very noisy-could hear phone notifications from the room upstairs and also people walking around until 2am, broken socket so unable to use and there were only other sockets on the tiny area for tea/coffee mixed with vanity area, one small side table so nowhere to place your items other than on the floor, just an awful place which ruined a nice visit to London for an event.

I like how the property was close to almost everything and things that we needed for the trip like towels and toilet paper. It's affordable and good for a short stay. However, the rooms are pretty small which makes it hard to move around .

Terrible in every way

I would like to formally complain and request a full refund. The hotel was disgusting! Our room was in the basement with a small window with obscured glass that you couldn't see out of or get out of! The door handle was falling off and wasnt safe or secure at all! The room was cold, dark, claustrophobic and dirty. The beds had one thin sheet and one very thin blanket, which was not sufficient to keep myself or my daughter warm through the night. The en suite was dirty and had urine stains on the toilet and the floor. All in all, the place felt unsafe, dirty and unfit for humans to sleep in. We checked out within an hour of checking in! There was no way we could sleep there. This meant we had to drive home, meaning we lost lots of money on the museum I'd booked for the next morning, and the car parking for 2 days. My daughter was devastated that we had to leave, as am I. Overall, a terrible experience and i want a full refund as soon as possible please? This picture is what i thought i was getting, the next picture is what i actually got!

Pleasant stay! Loved the cute Victorian rooms with the garden view !! Such a lovely place to stay in Kensington. Very close to Notting Hide Park . My children liked it and it is at a walking distance from everything basically .

Good price for the location. In a quiet area so a good night's sleep was no problem but was central enough with plenty shops and restaurants within a 5 minite walk. Its seen better days and could maybe do with a bit of a refurbishment, however it was clean enough.
