The room and restaurant were both stylish and beautiful. They also both had nice extras that made me feel like a valued guest. The restaurant served an exceptional dinner and breakfast. The staff was welcoming and very helpful with local knowledge. HIGHLY recommend.

One night in Derry

A lovely stay with a family dinner at the hotel followed by overnight stay and breakfast. the breakfast and service was superb. We needed disabled access and the hotel was as helpful as possible but the hotel is situated on a steep hill and parking is not available on site

the bed comfort was fine and the room was clean and the staff were lovely. This says it is a new boutique hotel and that it is four star but it is not decorated to a very high standard or style and there was definitely little attention to details

Fantastic staff

Week before our stay we received a courtesy call from Brendan regarding parking etc. Thought this was a lovely touch. On arrival at the hotel we were early for check-in and hoped to drop off our luggage. Mairead at reception advised that our room was ready and could check-in. We were delighted. We were then told we got an upgrade and offered a glass of bubbly. Food, cocktails and staff were excellent. Had a fantastic stay and will definitely return and recommend to others.

The only negative is the location. It is half way up a very steep hill and parking is a 15 minute walk away. No immediate parking and not accessible for those struggling with hills. Only a few rooms have AC. The food and staff are amazing.

The room was ok thought it was going to be better for the price i paid was very warm couldn't leave the windows open at night was so much noise outside went to the restaurant for dinner we both ordered the steak all you could taste was salt when we said to the waitress about she was in know way concerned that was the first time my partner has very left steak on his plate i left mine aswell went into town the next night and had a better meal the shipquay was my partners favourite hotel in Londonderry to stay not anymore think if we ever go again will book the city hotel witch is my favourite

The Shipquay Boutique Hotel is amazing. Were to start? The staff of this hotel are incredible. Hands down the most friendly and knowledgeable staff I have ever met. They had restaurant suggestions, maps on where to go jogging in the morning, and shopping suggestions. The breakfast was delicious - the best scone I had on my trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. The room and bathroom were lovely - had a great night sleep.

The Shipquay Hotel is an elegant boutique hotel with a great location within the city walls of Derry. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant serves great food, and there is also a bar in the Lower Ground Floor. Due to its location, there is no onsite parking, but there is free street parking nearby overnight, and the nearby parking lots are really cheap for daytime parking while you do the sights.

The Shipquay in Derry is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff from Reception to Housekeeping absolutely excellent and professional. Our room along with everywhere we went in the hotel was spotless, food was lovely, just everything about it made us smile.
