The room was nice with a nice view. The only problem we had was having to wait for a clerk to show up to check us in and having to park a block away from the hotel and carry luggage

Spacious room for a week stay with incredible view
Single woman traveling alone for leisure. Stayed here in one of the partial beach view rooms on the 5th floor and felt very safe and comfortable. It is an older building and there are bars on the block. You will hear noise but nothing outrageous. The morning and evening views are great. The room I had was quite spacious for just me. Had a microwave and fridge. Daily cleaning service was not provided, but unsure if it is possible.

I read mixed reviews but decided to give it a go, my husband and I had a great stay it’s the perfect area, yes there are homeless people all around but there also in Hollywood where we stayed and we stayed at the Roosevelt there and paid 600 a night so doesn’t matter if you stay cheap or expensive areas the homeless are everywhere but they are harmless they don’t even bother you or ask you for money. We loved this hotel because the rooms were big and we had our own kitchen with fridge and microwave! We did walk a lot down the strip it was a lot of walking to get to Santa Monica pier but a beautiful walk it was! The next day we rented the e-bikes and went the opposite direction towards the Venice beach pier and that was great we stopped for tacos and we even watched the people fish off the pier and seen a family of dolphins swim by! Such an amazing experience I would totally come back to Venice beach and stay at this hotel

Dusty, loud, on boardwalk
Cool that it's on the boardwalk. Great location. Fairly easy FREE street parking at night half a block away. My issue is the place is pretty dusty. And we heard doors slamming all night every single night we were there. We were in room 4 next to the check-in desk. And people would sit in the lobby and talk/laugh loudly very late into the night. Only one trash can in the bathroom.

We liked the location, however don’t think for a second you will have good parking. We ended up in a garage about a quarter mile away where it was $20/night. The lady that was running the desk in the night/ evening was barely at the counter. Had to sit around waiting for her couple of times. And I don’t know if the walls are thin or if the people of above us were extra loud. Overall we enjoyed staying right on the beach and this place provided that at a decent enough price. The building also locked with a code to enter and that made us feel good. We also liked the room size.

not a place to have a romantic getaway
rooms are very cheap looking , like the got everything from a yard sale , no decoration , floors are worn out … room looks nothing like the Picture ,bed made sounded like it was goto fall apart when you moved in it , no A/c the had a cheap plastic fan that was loud and they don’t have hotel keys they give you door codes … other then the view this place sucked
