Location is key

The Sonesta Select was a very nice hotel with quality amenities. The outdoor pool and patio were perfectly located right next to my room and offered a relaxing spot to chill in the morning. It was a little cold the day I was visiting surprisingly as the one off weekend LA was raining but the pool was still warm! The room was very spacious and has a cool looking couch. The bed was SUPER comfy and I regretted having a 7am flight out on my checkout day because I slept like a baby. The location was fantastic as far as there being an In and Out across the street and a Ralph's next door. The joy of only having barely a 10 min drive after an exhausting flight and hour long rental pick up process could not be beat. I would totally stay here again.

Reserved this hotel mainly for the free shuttle to and from LAX. Called 2 days before to find out the process. Told that for going back to LAX, I needed to make a reservation when checking in. I did that. I asked the front desk clerk for an 8am shuttle. He said ok, but never looked like he marked anything down and didn't give me any more info. Went downstairs for the shuttle and got there at 7:56. Shuttle was already gone and I wasn't on the list, so the front desk guy NEVER SCHEDULED ME LIKE I'D REQUESTED!! I was put on the 8:30 shuttle, which was late, so it was a VERY stressful time getting to LAX. Bad customer service.

The front desk completely lied to us

We couldn’t get the sliding door to open and had no hot water throughout our stay. We reported it to the front desk, and a staff member—Ale or Alex, I’m not sure—said a manager would come in two hours. Three hours later, I went down to get my now-cold DoorDash order, which no one had called me about, and asked for the manager. He told me there wasn’t one onsite and, confusingly, that there never had been. Exhausted from waiting and being awake for hours, I decided to just wait until the next day. When I spoke with someone else in the morning, she promised a manager would reach out. The manager finally called at 2 p.m.—five hours after my 9 a.m. complaint—and told me she had never been informed about the situation. She was clearly disappointed in how it was handled and did help resolve the issue, but overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a smell that was on the first floor but not sure if it was due to the pool. I found several roaches in the area with the refrigerator and the sink. The beds were super comfortable and the location was in a convenient area.
