AWFUL EXPERIENCE

I called the hotel on the night we arrived hours prior to our arrival to arrange the shuttle to pick us up. One Sonesta shuttle did show up but it was a ride to the wrong Sonesta. I called the hotel and I was told that I had to take an Uber now and that transportation could not be arranged. The next morning, I called the front desk on various occasions attempting to schedule the schuttle to the aiport. The front desk would not answer and when they did picked up the phone, nobody spoke, so I kept saying hello, hello? nobody. I had to go downstairs to speak to somebody directly. I requested the schuttle with 45 minutes in advance. The shuttle showed up 35 minutes late and the driver LITERALLY parked, walked passed us, and when we ask if we could go because we were late, the driver responded: "not my problem". He took his time inside the hotel, came out and began talking on the phone while we waited. I approached him and said: "why are you being so rude? we need to go!" he responded: "well... I guess you will have to find somebody to take you to the airport now". I reported this to the front desk, and not much was done. The dude ended up taking us, but with a huge attitude and when we arrived, he left our bags in the middle of the road where the cars still drive by. He would not help us to move them to the curve. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST!!!!

I had to clean the room myself. The reception staff were so rude and u friendly. The room was not clean, the carpet was stained and smelly. The ironing board was broken there was no coffee or cream in the room, for the 3 days I stayed there no cleaning or cleaning towels it was a horrible experience I will never go back there and do not recommend it

Beware! Do not stay here.

This was the filthiest hotel that I’ve ever seen. Checkin was horrible, as the attendant argued with me because I pointed out that they downgraded me from the room that I paired for. They demanded to see my online booking receipt and was beyond rude. The room was so dirty, I could not sleep. First, I blame this app because the 10/10 and 8/10 reviews are definitely misleading. I believe they belong to the Sonesta LAX not Sonesta Select. The Google reviews are very poor and more aligned with what I experienced. I will never stay there again, and will always second guess reviews on Hotels.com. Turns out they gave our room away to another guest. They then turned around and gave us a room that was booked by a guest that had not checked in yet, and told us that they will give them the downgrade that they tried to give us. Stay away from this place. We thought we were booking Sonesta LAX, and we believed the exceptional reviews. Please Google your hotel and read reviews online.

It was a good trip it was clean. When I checked in the front desk asked if I was attending the concert but never told me about the shuttle service offered. I wish they put up or told us about that offer. Our room was knocked on at 8:30am, 9:30am and 10:00 by cleaning and disturbed us and we felt rushed even though checkout wasn’t until 11:00 they came knocking. Everything else about the hotel we loved and will stay again.

The bathroom smelled really bad. Tried cleaning the bathroom myself. Then found that it was the shower curtain that smelled of urine. Relayed to house keeping next day and they replaced the curtain, which made it better.

Enjoyed our stay at this property, our room was spacious and had a balcony. Walking distance to some fast food restaurants, and a grocery store also. Didn’t interact with staff much, aside from check-in and check-out, no complaints there. Overall, property was excellent. Clean inside/out, easy parking, air conditioning was perfect for the hot SoCal weather. Will stay here again if ever in the area.
