I’ve stayed in plenty of motels around the world. I spend a lot of time in Burbank and the Glendale express is my favorite for the price and comfort. I enjoy the little 3 foot balcony. I’ve even showed up early for an appointment in Burbank just cause I love sleeping there so much. The building is old. The history is old, but the atmosphere is very fresh, the old girl shows her age, but you wouldn’t know it they keep it clean. I always get top floor Mountain View. I think I’m gonna ask for a city view next time. In of course, just like the city it’s very convenient. I had a birthday party for my son to attend. I brought everything except wrapping paper. I whipped out my phone, Google maps CVS and within 12 minutes. I was just in front of the store so it’s pretty convenient.

The pictures online does not represent the hotel honestly. We booked this hotel because of the pictures. The room was dingy and felt dirty, the bathroom vent did not work, the beds were horrible. You can feel the springs on the bed, so to that we did not get a good nights sleep. Blankets are paper thin, pillows are lumpy and not smooth at all. Overall the hotel felt old and run down, poor ventilation and staff was subpar. Overall we will not book with Unfortunately it was Just a very disappointing stay.

Family vacation

Very good overall stay and value. Cool oldies vibe and decor. The location was right off the freeway and great for seeing the local sites (Universal, Zoo, Griffiths Park). Ample parking spots and large enough for larger vehicles. The pool area was pretty standard, but a great way to cool off and the kids enjoyed it. Not a huge deal, but they even had coffee, tea and pop tarts in the morning (unexpected surprise!). The room was fine. Pillows and mattress were a bit soft. AC was old school dial-controlled but worked fine. Bathroom was spacious and I like the safety grab bars in the tub. The toilet flushing was oddly slow. Shower pressure good. They had charging outlets but strangely were high and far from s surface surfaces to place your devices. So bring long cables! Staff was all friendly and helped answer our questions or meet our requests. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great value for your money.

Check in was at 3 my room was not ready until 7 pm. The room was dirty , the air conditioner barely worked, the vent was hanging from the ceiling. They did not offer breakfast you were given coffee or hot water and a pop tart. To bring the luggage cart from your car to the entrance you had to walk it all the way to the public sidewalk to get up the ramp. Im very disgusted with my stay there

This property was at or slightly below average (I travel and stay at various types of hotels/motels). Nothing was great about the property other than the pool was well kempt. But I did not like that even though we had a 4-day stay, not once did house keeping come in clean/remove garbage or offer clean towels. Additionally, my card key constantly failed to work and I had to go to the front desk to get a new key....I was told that it must have been near a magnet or cell phone....guess what, people carry their cell phone in their pockets. The price was below average, I guess you get what you pay for.

The property is pretty clean but very old. Toilets barely flush, stepped on carpet staples going in and out of bathroom. Wallpaper peeling away and brown areas on walls and ceiling maybe from previous leaks not sure. The staff was very nice, and it appears the property is attempting to hold onto classic California vibe/look. But gives dirty unclean feel. The area around hotel feels safe and walkable. Does provide free parking.
