Great location and good fast elevators

The restaurant was strange. Not many guests when I was there but service was very slow. With mandatory 20% gratuity, no incentive for staff. I did not go back. The bar in the lobby was not open in the afternoon even though there were lots of people waiting around.

The hotel is great, located in downtown Los Angeles. There were indigents around. We avoided going out at night. Parking is always difficult.

Lots of dining options nearby. Bed was comfortable and the garden is lovely. Lots of street noise on a Friday night. The bottle of conditioner was empty in the shower. Very nice lobby. Staff was polite and check-in was easy.

Be careful in this neighbourhood

Hotel was pleasant enough but oh my word, the area is well dodgy! Not safe to walk around day or night without encountering dubious characters. We stayed because of the proximity to Union Station but Little Tokyo is not somewhere you would choose to be. Restrooms in reception area were not accessible without a key which I guess is to do with the area it’s in. Room was fine, bed was comfortable but noisy with sirens day and night. Windows must be very thin. Convenient 7-11 store just opposite. Did not eat at the hotel.
