i’ve stayed in super 8s nicer & cheaper .
This was just crazy . I booked this trip as a small get away with two friends. Tuesday 11/19 check in & Thursday 11/21 check out . upon arrival i was instantly greeted with an unwelcoming encounter with the front desk agent who had attitude & took my card & ID to the back for over 5 minutes. after walking around looking for a room that didn’t exist i was told the agent said & wrote the wrong number and gave me the correct one . once i got to the room i was instantly greeted with the wall that looked like they look nickelodeon slime and dumped all over, hair on the pillows and sheets , stains on the chair , bugs in the shower , stained towels , blood spots next to the toilet, we ended up buying trash bags to tie on our feet while we shower , air dried, and bought clorox wipes and wiped the entire room down as well as slept above the sheets cocooned in our own blankets. also , there’s a 1/2 inch crack in the door that makes it look like heaven is outside the door long story short , extremely rude staff , disgusting rooms , smashed rats on the side walk , weird, unsafe yet unusually busy area, .5/10 i wouldn’t recommend, only good thing was the food stepping the corner “the corner” and the mattresses were decent .

Almost robbed at my door from a man wearing black hoodie and black pants. My daughter waited for me to get in my room as i am handicapped. She followed the man to the office to advise them that the man was not in the room he was requesting a key for. She asked for me to be moved and the desk clerk refused so we packed stuff up and left. I was there no more than four hours. The next day went to turn the key in since i was now in a safe hotel and was refused full refund. If the guy got in my room who knows i could have been murdered. Called expedia and was given the run around. Nothing was resolved and going forward will only book directly through hotel, airlines and rental car agencies.

While the outside was a TID BIT rough around the edges, we really enjoyed our stay. The area was safe with beautiful Mountain View’s and there were a ton of restaurant, bar, coffee, and grocery store options within walking distance. Short drive to universal studios and the Warner bros studio tour with a ton of other restaurant options in that area as well. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was clean but the shower was also a TID BIT rough around the edges, but it did its job. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room but there was a communal one in the “lobby.” Our neighboring room was a little loud, but we didn’t spend much time in our room during our stay so it wasn’t a huge issue. If we ever find our Pennsylvania selves back in California we will stay again!

The one positive I can say is that the wallpaper was cute. The negatives.. The water smelled like spoiled eggs, not all the lights turned on, the bathroom light would turn on by itself, our bed didn't have a fitted sheet on it, the walls are super thin, the AC doesn't work well, there were stains on the sheets, it was dusty, there was hair in our bed, and that's not even it.
