JUST DONT!
Firstly, i apologize to past reviewers i didn't believe who rated this property so low. You were right. Hollywood VIP would have to be the worst maintained property I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The smell! Yes, it could be weed, could be years of accumulated dirt, but it does smell really bad. The "complimentary continental breakfast" consisted of Fruit Loops, milk and coffee. Luckily McDonalds is close by. The bedding and towels are so, so very old. We ended up with 5 mismatched, crumbly, lumpy flat pillows to equal one decent pillow. Overall, the hotel is just so run down and not maintained. That said, the Reception staff, Jennifer, Romeo and Eric couldn't have be nicer and more helpful. Thank you all, you have a difficult job there, but stayed professional while we aired our dissatisfaction. The hotel's only saving grace is that the location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the back door takes you to Hollywood Blv and the many well known attractions. No, we would never stay at Hollywood VIP again and would definitely not recommend you 'taking a chance' that the reviews may not be correct.

Bathroom was not clean. The tv was not 55". The pillow is so thin and it smells. We couldn't sleep because the room we had was next to the exit door and the door was loud when people coming or going. The room smells and the floor was sticky.

no lock on window, so no security/safety, room left dirty on arrival with trash and filth on the floor, no soap in bathroom. room reeked of over the top cleaning product mould in bathroom, water didn’t heat up properly. neighbouring rooms reeked of smoke and weed all night. cigarette holes in the sheets, not even sure if they washed the sheets from prior residents. loud people. genuinely horrible.

We did not even end up staying. They have bed bugs and roaches. Their rooms are filthy, they charge for parking and don't even have enough parking. Not all but some staff is super rude.

Staff was very friendy and helpfull, the room was clean, Didnt like bathroom had mold in the shower And we encountered a huge rat. That was wondering in the hall way and we had to wait before we can go in until it left

This hotel was very rundown. Dirty. Stains and holes on the blankets. Duct tape holding the door handle on. Blood stains on the walls. Shower that was broken. Zero toiletries. Terrible beds.

Nothing special, but what do you expect for the price? Lots of places to eat around the area. Hollywood Bowl is a short walk up the hill. The hotel itself wasn't noisy as I feared. Friendly staff. I would stay there again.

I would NEVER recommend this to ANYONE - especially if they have kids... there were cockroaches in the bathroom - we made them give us another room... the other room had standing water. Smelled like cigarettes (in a non-smoking room). If I could give negatives I would. The TV remotes were not working - no house cleaning. The worst experience ever
