Great hotel close to beach and beach walk. Our room was spacious, well maintained and comfortable. Had a beautiful view of ocean and enjoyable easy walk to restaurants in the area. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was a nice addition with friendly staff. Miguel at front desk was especially helpful. Would highly recommend selecting Hotel Erwin for your next visit to Venice Beach!

It was a great experience until Monday morning that we found bed bugs in the bed. We talked to front desk about it and moved us to another room because bed bugs are gross for a nice hotel like this. They gave us late check out and we were told they were going to wave the destination fee. The person who helped us said he wish he could give us the free stay but since we booked through a third party site the destination fee was all that could be taken off. I was still charged a destination fee for one day.

It's impossible to be better!

Excellent, I liked everything. The bed is wonderful, the staff are kind and polite, especially the breakfast and reception staff. There's also a super cool bar and restaurant on the terrace. I loved the experience.

Cute, but extremely loud.

Hotel was in great location. Staff was great. Amenities were okay. The noise from the rooftop club, and surrounding bars was horrific. Just endless thumping until 2:00AM.

First, you must valet or park somewhere nearby sketchy. The area around there was sketchy and unsafe with people wandering the streets all night and sleeping all over the sidewalks and beach. The room needs updating. The bathroom had mold in the caulk and gaps in the tile which who knows what’s underneath. They charge a ridiculous amount for any beverage or snack in the room. The place seems gimmicky almost. Not a nice beach vacation like we had hoped. Then for two of us, I got slammed with an additional $320 for 3 nights for the forced valet and I’m not sure what else. Needless to say, that was a surprise and I definitely would have booked somewhere else. Won’t be returning.
