I honestly don’t know why this hotel is rated so low, it’s really not a bad hotel at all whatsoever. It’s obviously not the ritz-Carlton, but it’s pretty good. The beds are great - super comfy. The rooms come equipped with a great heating/cooling system you can control. The bathroom I had was awesome, it was super huge. The hotel staff are also very helpful and friendly. The hotel isn’t very close to downtown, but there are lots of food and drink options around the area. When I come back to LA, I’m likely not even going to bother looking for another hotel as I’ll be coming back here! Thank you to the staff here for making my stay in LA great!

Room was nice enough but finding the lobby was a challenge. Breakfast was cereal or boiled eggs. Of the whole it was fine; a decent value for the price

Great hotel at great location
Writing this for my friend who stayed here for a night. She said the room is big size, super clean with new towel. Breakfast has very good variety and good coffee. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Basic accommodations with breakfast
This is a basic hotel when all you are looking for is a bed at night. Rooms all open to the parking lot, which can be noisy at times. As this is a an older building, there are no USB outlets, only regular 3 prong electrical outlets. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. Breakfast was a bonus, consisting of bagels, muffins, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, and a waffle maker. The lobby is oddly located on the second floor, so anybody can go up the elevator without necessarily being observed by hotel staff. Bed was comfortable. If you're not into luxury, this is the place.

Upon check in, we had been told my the receptionist in the lobby that housekeeping would not come in on their own without request. If we needed anything like towels and such - we were to ask the receptionist and have that arranged. There is even signage in the restroom of our room that reiterated what she told us. The following day we left in the morning for the day and returned at 8:30 pm where we noticed housekeeping came in and fixed our bed, refreshed our towels and etc. It was a nice gesture but we did not appreciate the inconsistency in communication. The WiFi did not work the first day there and was spotty the second day. For reference our room was on the second floor, towards the back end at room 223. Secondly, this event happened two nights in a row during our stay where someone attempted to come into our room. The first night we heard it around 1-2 am and we brushed it off because we assumed someone tried going into the wrong room since it was an obvious shake at the door handle. The second night that this happened was around 2 am and my husband heard someone attempting to key the door and subtly jiggled the door handle two times. My husband went to the peephole and notice that a man had given up and heard him attempting to open other doors down the hallway.

The bed was not what I reserved. It was a full and I booked 2 queens. The room felt like a closet and near the street. The manager was not available and they would not return or cancel our room or give us another one. The worst customer service. And Expedia was no help in getting this resolved.
