Jimmy Avila, the door man has been there for years and is the best! A smiling happy face. So good to be welcomed back by Jimmy. Great service. Loved the complimentary breakfast too. Great food, great service. This is a gem in Santa Monica.

I'd give them a five-star rating, but parking is not free. It's $60 USD a day for parking which isn't good for travelers. Don't believe other reviews saying it's "Free" or "Parking down the street." The nearest place to park isn't overnight parking so good luck with that. The staff were great. The next visit to LA will be spent at a different place.

The room smelled of dirty carpet. The carpet has different colors on the high traffic, I guess the previous footsteps were not cleaned well.

Rooms were dirty

The lobby and restaurant are great. The rooms were styled nicely however they were not clean. Upon arriving the room smelled musky. The AC on the wall was not working. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. The bathroom floor, toilet and bathtub had body hair from a previous guest, all over. I was very uncomfortable.

From Expedia list, it says breakfast is free. but I was charged around more than $120. that's unacceptable. I called the hotel. hotel said Expedia put a wrong description on their website. Besides this fee, they also charge valet parking fee $60.5 and Destination fee $35. they are not that good. I don't recommend this hotel next time. there are a lot of hidden fees.

Very disappointing

Very unfriendly staff from manager to front desk to parking valet. Shower water in room not hot enough. Took long to to become warm. Check in was nightmare. They didn’t have type room I ordered. Finally sent us to room that had not been made up.
