We had a great stay! Nice room with a balcony and nice view. The beach was a short walk away and next to a cute coffee shop. Would stay here again!

The room was disgusting , broken TP holder, dead bugs all over blinds, awful bed and pillows. Graffiti on fireplace that was electric and did NOT work. Broken door lock. Broken lamp , no fire alarm. I have photos

I paid for a "garden view" room (#12). However, unlike the other garden rooms, this patio overlooked the parking lot. The only bit of garden was around the corner to the left. The owner/manager was very defensive and dismissive. Also the area past the pool was in need of repair, some of the decking had been uplifted and it was easy for people to trip over

The staff is what makes a great place to stay! This hotel has been around for a long time and is older but holds all the charm of the years past! The location is perfect and the beach is a short walk away. View of the palm trees and ocean from the balcony were stunning as we watched the sunset.

Older smaller cottages. Still very nice and quiet during the week . Plenty of parking but some of them facing uphill. Or in front of the cottage. Since the site is older it does need updating for both interior and exterior . The current design for the room we stayed in is very budget friendly and incoherent for it's layout . So enjoy the owners choice of design and cost cutting measures . Otherwise the room is smaller than usually . The bed firm firm. The bathroom an enjoyable belly laugh. And overall the cool Malibu breeze is refreshing on the back patio. Enjoy a simple stay.

Such a great spot! Very reasonable for the location. Nice classic view of the Malibu hills from the private deck, cute rose garden and pool area. Easy walk to Zuma beach. Beautiful shower. Parking is secluded and safe.

If you just need a place to lay your head I suppose this hotel is fine. We stayed in the Mountain Room. The electrical outlet and 2 of the lights didn't work in our bathroom. Outside our door a large headboard for a bed was resting on the wall and it was covered in mold. The furniture inside the room is very worn and out dated. There were no screens on the windows. The "patio" area is just a concrete slab with some worn out, out of date chairs and dying plants.

The grounds are unkempt. There was a dead rat in a trap outside our door, and it smelled terrible. The room was clean and the bed was comfy, and there were plenty of towels and soap. The shower was terrible: a rain shower thing that was weak and there was no option for a handheld or tub spout.

The balcony had a jacuzzi that couldn’t be used. A lot of spider webs on the balcony and a spider I killed inside. The staff were extremely helpful and I appreciated all of them!

2 nights stay was excellent. We received upgrade to king with patio. The room was renovated, great bed with cotton bedding, white towels staff very welcoming and kind. We didn’t use the pool and our terrace was not very clean But: Great ocean views, very close to the beach. Don’t believe bad reviews
