Not the Penthouse Experience We Paid For

We booked the penthouse suite for my birthday. On arrival after checking into the room we asked to be moved to a different room as our original one had not been cleaned, and there was no cleaners available. Daily we had to ask for cleaner to come back to do something. Cups and glasses were left dirty and floors not washed in fact we had dirty feet without shoes. The room itself was large with fantastic facilities which need a refresh. We had to ask for maintenance to help with the door and a llighr bulb. The staff were always friendly but at this price point attention to detail really lacking. On this basis we would choose elsewhere in future

Overall we had a nice stay. Our extras requested prior to check in were never brought in but we had a good time anyway. The hotel could use some upgrades but is still a nice stay.

So i realized i left my shaving bag, elec Razor, and about 60 bucks in case in the nightstand. I figured maybe an honest employee might call....im still waiting. Granted i didnt call but damn, where are all the honest prople.

Excellent friendly service in a gorgeous hotel

A couples getaway to celebrate a new chapter and the hotel was everything we could have hoped for and more. When I forget my charger, the woman at the front desk happily loaned me hers and our room was large and beautifully appointed. We rode the bikes to breakfast down the strand. It was a place we will return to again soon!

Loved our stay at Shade! From start to finish, we had an amazing time. Our room was fantastic, especially loved the outdoor bathtub on the patio. Sea Level was great for drinks and food. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was so Beautiful & the Staff were Amazing. We had a room with a tub on the patio that we enjoyed very much. The bed was comfortable, the room was updated nicely & the bathroom had a Great steam shower in it. We will be back for sure!

We stay in Redondo/Hermosa beach area every year on our way home from Sydney Australia to Canada. This is our first stay at Shade hotel and it will not be our last. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms are large and good value for money. The bar and restaurant have everything you need and everything is accessible via a short ride/walk down the strand.
