I am not sure I received a VIP benefit but my room was a suite and lovely. But it was noisy in the area and although I felt safe with their security measures, it’s in the heart of an urban city. Loved the fitness instructors and free classes with reservation. There was a bug in my room when I came in but received $50 food and beverage credit from the manager. Overall a pleasant stay and experience!

We liked having the basketball court, but booked the hotel specifically for the pool which they kept saying would be fixed the next day but never reopened. They did take care of our parking due to that but still doesn't make up for main reason to book.

It’s a decent hotel, but the room was dark which made it hard to get ready for the wedding we were attending. In addition we only got one regular coffe pod for two of us. I asked for two for the next morning and didn’t get any. In our expedia itinerary it said to ask about our silver perk, but the hotel would not honor it.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The property is amazing if you're into fitness. I got a suite on the top floor and it was very large and comfortable. Bathrooms could use an update, but I'll be back regardless

I love this hotel as it is really beautiful in a very rustic way. The sports facilities are great and the colleagues who work there are very nice and helpful. The rooms are very dark and so are the bathrooms. The rooms and the TV's in the rooms could definitely use some renovations whilst keeping the rustic charm. I will be back.

Definitely going back every time we’re in LA. Closed to almost everything. Lots of dining options. I just wished they will update their rooms, most especially the bathrooms. Put something in the roof area so it’s more enticing for people to hangout and stay and an area in the lobby where you can hangout as well.

The front desk staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. This trip Abe and Melissa were fantastic. Since it is the LAAC - the use of their facilities makes this a great location for a workout. The rooms are charming with comfortable bedding.

Good customer service at check in and out, easy parking and the common areas have lots of history. I was only there one night and the room was clean and adequate for my needs. Unfortunately, I was woken up at 5:30am by my neighbor that was speaking loudly on a phone call. I was put in a room with an adjoining room option and because of that, heard him loud and clear and it ruined my morning.

I have been staying at LAAC since 2013, and this hotel has gone downhill over the years. While the athletic club facilities are still really great, the cost per night has risen substantially, even from last year, while other (non athletic club) amenities have decreased. But what will make me rethink ever staying here again is the abysmal service I receive from the front desk. Case-in-point: My wife and I enjoy a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. When we checked in I noticed that there was only one pod of regular coffee in the room. I went down to the front desk and asked for two more pods. Three hours later I went down and asked again, on our way out to lunch. When we returned home for the evening there are still nothing. I gave up. Over 24 hours later, and just an hour before we were to check out, they delivered the pods. This is but one example of the bush league service we received. There are so many $350 hotels in DTLA. I have to assume most of them are willing to go the extra mile and accommodate a customer who would simply like a cup of coffee in the morning.

Lovely hotel.. great location if you need to stay in DTLA. Beds really comfy, staff really helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant were great.. lovely breakfast! Great atmosphere in the bar. Lovely decor throughout, if I had one small complaint would be the rooms are very dark but that the character of the hotel! Overall great stay and I will be Staying here again
