Not a hotel. Its a hostel with some private rooms. Staff was very nice and helpful. Parking was very tricky and egress to door was unsafe at night due to having to climb a blind ramp/driveway. Bed was uncomfortable but bathroom was fully functional

Okay - so first thing. Its called the banana something. - not the vibe hotel. It is NOT a hotel, it's a hostel that doubles as a hotel BUT! i had my own room with shower and bath and balcony so it was pretty much a hotel. Vending machines and a kitchen. Parking is 10 bucks a night so not bad. Staff were cool apart from the one african american girl who hated her job and saw everyone as just an invonvenience. Her breaks are VERY important to her. Overall - great little place and great vfm.

Like a hostel with private rooms
Basic, clean and comfortable, good location right off of Melrose. The lobby has a pool table. Parking for $10 a night or you can find street parking. Great place for a short stay if you aren't too fussy.

Hostel with private rooms. Was warm in LA and it’s central AC which was not working very well. I ended up leaving and getting a different hotel.

A very nice alternative to the traditional hotel experience. There is definitely a "youthful" vibe to the place (no pun intended), but that's not a bad thing at all. Was a very pleasant experience staying there and I'd definitely book another future stay

Don't stay here!
The website pics and descriptions are very deceiving. The facility is old and in need of a major overhaul. They offer no real amenities, not even ice. Their "breakfast" was disgusting, inedible junk food. My room AC consisted of a fan on the wall with a string of illegal patch cords. The shower leaked and flooded the bathroom. Seriously, this place is trash and should be closed down!
