This property was totally fine for the price we paid over the busy Christmas holiday. The staff was accommodating, the food was fine and the resort was safe and clean. My biggest complaint are the beds. The mattresses and box springs are old & uncomfortable which made for difficult sleeping. The bedding is far past its prime and is overstarched, the pillows had no form or shape and the comforter was thin and well worn. Upgrading the bedding would go a LONG WAY to increase the hotel’s appeal.

The staff was nice. But the property is quite dated and many things in the room are broken. The shower faucet, the toilet, none of the usb outlets work, there's no clock, there are bright lights on in the courtyard outside my room all night, it's right on the noisy highway so I heat that and not the ocean.

We liked the staff and the daily routines. What we didn’t like was the lack of information available at check in regarding where restaurants were etc. the beach is amazing here and the pool is average. They do know how to keep the drinks flowing though. We would consider staying here again. Oh and btw Luis at the jewelry cart down towards the pool is fantastic so go support this local favorite.

The Krystal Grand Resort is far from a 4-star property. The resort is poorly maintained, and the photos online are highly misleading. While the view from our room was stunning, the room itself was right next to a noisy highway, which made it difficult to relax. Adding to the frustration, the shower handle and towel rack both fell off during our stay. Gabriel from Expedia and Mario from the concierge team were exceptional. When we voiced our concerns, they went out of their way to make us more comfortable. The pool staff were also friendly and hardworking. Unfortunately, not all staff met this standard. At the teppanyaki restaurant, one server's rude behavior left a lasting negative impression. The resort overall is rundown. The kids' pool is in the shade and rarely used, while Camp Krystal was so neglected that we didn’t feel comfortable leaving our son there. It’s clear that the property requires significant upgrades and much better management. We did manage to make some new friends during our stay, but unfortunately, some of them ended up getting food poisoning. This further highlighted the resort's issues with quality and hygiene. While we appreciated the efforts of a few dedicated staff members, the overall experience was disappointing. I would not return to this resort, and I find it frustrating that Expedia, WestJet, and Air Canada continue to market it as a a 4-star destination. Many other guests we spoke to shared the same dissatisfaction!

This is a very nice hotel. We spent some great time at the beach with the kids (one can swim safely there in most conditions with a basic understanding of waves, but this is highly discouraged because of the wave power). The food was great as well. I did not like that they charged about $140 US for my third kid (it is virtually impossible to find hotels for 2 adults and 3 kids). Also, I disliked being harassed by an agent who wanted to sale tours and future vacations just as we got to the hotel. This is common practice in several highly rated hotels in Baja and should stop. Probably very few clients appreciate this practice. Finally, I feel that I spent a little too much for the stay during the end-of-year holidays. Paying 4000$US for a full week for 2 adults and 2 kids would be a fair price.

The pool was the only saving grace to this property, facilities were old, rooms had everything broken. Took multiple requests to get anything serviced or done. Food was decent but for a resort that is supposed to be very family friendly their service hours and selection were not the greatest.
