Charming old school but some upgrading needed

It is getting tired. Towels are shabby, meals are ok, charming but need upgrading. Bar staff and good waiters are excellent. Comfortable and not too big.

We were royally catfished by this property. The listing states there are two restaurants, multiple bars, etc. When we arrived, we were put into the wrong room and they said they didn't have any of our room available until the next night. So we had to switch rooms, and when addressed with Expedia, we were told to wait 24 hrs while they worked on a resolution on our behalf, which then turned into 72 hrs. We finally got into our proper room which was SUPER dated, a mini fridge that didn't work, and no fan on the bathroom. The pillows are also awful so we had to go buy our own. The "restaurant" was strictly a buffet with 6 options for warm (if that) and a few salads. We were turned away one night for dinner because they were full. The pool is not heated or cleaned and the staff are super rude except the bartenders/servers. The drinks are good, and the beach is beautiful. Unfortunately the only perks.

Definitely not what was advertised; looks much more run-down than photos. Most of the electrical outlets in room did not work. Beds not very comfortable. Also, a key broke off in our door lock, so we had limited access our last day; someone had to stay in the room at all times, or we could get back in room (maintenance unable to fix). Not the trip we were hoping for.

The resort was quite old, but clean not many dining options only the little buffet no other restaurants. Hot tub was not working for three of the days. Staff was fabulous very friendly. Pool was nice and no problems getting a seat. Our flight was later in the afternoon and once we had checked out and checked our bags, they would not let us even go have something to eat out at the pool basically when you’re out you’re out.

We liked that it was not big. The food, although buffet, I felt had great options. Loved the taco shack by the pool & beach. Most staff was very friendly especially Antonio & David our waiters at the pool. It could get breezy from the ocean!
