Top Notch Meals & Relaxation

Recently stayed for 3 nights following our wedding at another resort. We loved how private and relaxing this adults only location was. The food & drinks were top notch. The Asian restaurant was a favorite and room service did not disappoint. If you have a sweet tooth - don't skip on the carrot cake or flan. By the pool we enjoyed grilled shrimp tacos and octopus ceviche. They got our order wrong one day and brought fried shrimp tacos, which were also delicious. The pools were lovely. We enjoyed that you didn't have to exchange cards for towels and there were plenty of chairs. One pool has more activities and music, the other is a bit more relaxing and quiet. While this resort didn't have a lot of activities going on it ranked high for us if you are looking for a place to unwind and enjoy high quality food. You could go visit their other properties. We didn't have a chance to do this. The one downside, while some resorts have a relaxed policy on staying onsite once you check out, this resort only lets you use your AI bracelet until 12pm. They then require you to pay for anything additional you order.

I’m not sure how this hotel has such I reviews. It was one of the worst experiences my husband and I have had in the many all-inclusive Mexico resorts we have stayed in. Rooms were dirty, staff was unfriendly and seemed bothered to have to help especially in the pool and beach area. The pool staff ignored you unless you flagged them down. They barely came to check on you, but when it was time to close out your all-inclusive tab, they made sure they were rushing right over to you the second you stood up so that they can get their tip. The walls were paper thin, we could hear the room above us until 2am. Beds were hard and pillows were uncomfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible, basically had to get ready in the dark. Probably the most egregious part was that the only decent coffee was a small coffee shop where we had to pay $6 for a cup of coffee because the only included coffee was a terrible pot of coffee in the Buffett area that was constantly empty. Concierge was not helpful. He didn’t talk through any of the dining options and we weren’t told one of the options we picked was a cab ride rather than a shuttle that we had to pay for. Overall terrible experience and will not return.

This is my third time to Pueblo Bonito, but first time at Pacifica! It’s a very nice property, and a great set of amenities all around. It is tough because they really funnel you to a restaurant each night that requires a reservation. There’s no real option to go to to just get a casual bite and come and go. I ended up doing room service a few times when I just didn’t want to get dressed up. Service is amazing! All that said, I’ll probably stay at one of their other resorts next time!

We had great stay! Food was excellent and service was great. Only things I would say that we wished there was more music by the pools. It nice and quiet but maybe to quite for us. Just some background music would be nice. Also the reservation for some restaurants you couldn’t cancel and would charge $45 A person if didn’t show up. Need a option on app to change if need to. We also to taxi and they never told us they put in room so we paid taxi driver twice so watch that. A lot of shuttling to get places which didn’t love and very windy at this resort. Nice place enjoyed though.
