Location and friendly, efficient employees, unfortunately the other thing that stood out was the freezing cold pool, low 70s and the hot tub that was 80 at best. I know it’s still hot out in the sun but we expect a somewhat warm pool. Prior to the remodel and now management by the Hilton, the Tropicana was one of the few pools in los cabos we could count on for being heated. We live out on the coast and enjoy coming to town once in a while. A warm pool, great location near the plaza and great employees was always a draw. We were wondering how it would be after the Hilton took it over. The property is attractive, though some of the old mexico colorful funk is gone, now a blue and white theme. Nice they kept the trees and bougainvillea around the pool. We would still stay here during the off season when prices are reasonable due to the wonderful location…. Oh ! And who ever chose the shower head obviously did not have nipples. The pressure is not adjustable and it blasts out in sharp narrow streams

The client experience was amazing, we were tired and it had been a stressful day but we immediately felt at home upon our arrival, it felt like we had walked into an oasis, so tastefully designed and decorated. Staff was friendly and helpful, Cristina at front desk was lovely. The restaurant was equally as welcoming and despite being very quiet the food was excellent.

Staff was very friendly. Room was extremely clean as was the entire hotel. Bed was a little too firm for our liking but others might love that. Parking was a little hard to locate because it’s behind the hotel and you have to get on the other street Our only complaint was that we could smell sewer periodically over the 20 hours we stayed and maybe that’s just typical of San Jose Del Cabo. Outside of that, the hotel was A plus.

I stayed here when it was the original Tropicana. It was closed for 3 years and went through a complete renovation. The staff was kinder and more attentive than any five star hotel I have stayed at.
