Enjoyed our week at the once beautiful and still nice though a little tired, Sapphire Beach Club. Forget the beach as it is pretty unusable due to hurricane damage. Room was awesome and large. We thought the beds were extremely comfy. The beach bar was nice and the gals that work there really work hard to please. Not a place for wild partiers! We would go again!

The place was nice, no real beach sadly, need more lounges at pool. The restaurant was ok but the server was the cook and the bartender for everyone and everything so service was slow and since the happy hour is only 1 hour long you don’t get a chance to get and 2nd drink as the server can’t handle the volume, the room was nice but lacking wall pictures and decor but it was large and comfortable, nice view from balcony

Overall this is a decent place. The staff is friendly and very helpful (shout out to Josephine, you are the best). My opinion is given a little TLC it could be better: in addition to daily housekeeping I feel like a once per month deep cleaning might do the trick. Bathroom tiles and some other areas need some attention than the daily cleaning lady can handle.

Beautiful place with a beautiful ocean view. The pool was nice and I mostly enjoyed my stay. However the lady who works in the evening at the bar by the pool area was very rude to everyone. Wouldn't listen, would interrupt and just absolutely ruins the lovely atmosphere and vibe. Other than her, the staff were very friendly and my stay was nice.

Lovely stay with only a couple of minor issues
Good stay. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The pool and grounds were lovely and there were many enjoyable planned activities. The main thing I did not like was the empty, non-operable hot tub on the balcony. If working, it would have been great to have. If it’s obsolete, though, and can’t be fixed to work, it should be removed and replaced with 2 lounge chairs. Otherwise, it’s just wasted space that diminishes the size of the balcony by half. A second issue is that there is no light in the living area when closed off for sleeping. As there were only 2 of us it was not an issue, but it would make it very difficult for anyone to use that space for sleeping. All considered, I would return to Sapphire and not hesitate to recommend it to others.

I’ve used Expedia for six years, but my stay at Sapphire Beach Club Resort in Saint Maarten was extremely disappointing. The issues began with a late check-in (4:00 PM). Room 222 had a damp smell and black mold around the bathroom mirror and tiles. I was moved to Room 142, but it was smaller, had more mold, and the same damp smell. The floor supervisor dismissed my concerns. I returned to Room 222, where the receptionist gave me Lysol and suggested I spray the room. By Day 5, I noticed a lump on my throat, likely due to the room environment. Housekeeping didn’t change the pillowcases for four days until I removed them myself. Customer service was poor, especially at the poolside bar, where staff prioritized a white couple and ignored me. When I asked for a drink adjustment, the staff member was rude and dismissive. The only positive aspects were Ms. Marcia at the activity desk and the pool cleaner. However, the mold, poor service, and lack of accountability ruined my vacation. I left feeling disrespected and dealing with health issues, and I would not recommend this resort.
