The resort was recommended by a friends and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. We are looking to return next year. We came during off peak season and it wasn’t crowded. The only thing that we found odd were the 6 or 7 stray cats on the property but other guests fed and gave them attention. The food and drink was good. We only left the property twice for food.

Food was good with plenty of options. Staff was very friendly and accommodating! Property is a little bit rundown but still beautiful. Elevator broke a few times during our stay which was a bit alarming but overall our stay was nice.

I liked the staff and food. Housekeeping staff needs more training (Needs set standards]). I did not like the cats being around the dining areas and how they are being fed (untidy). Needs more entertainment, its limited and boring. Bathroom shower (room 494) is in need of maintenance.

This was one of the only all inclusive hotels that I’ve ever been too and It did not disappoint. The staff was amazing & friendly. The room was very clean and spacious as well.

This property was probably the worst all inclusive hotel that I have stayed at. The customer service was awful. The AC was not working in the room once we arrived. The staff took their time to repair it and would not move us to another room. If you are hanging at the pool and want something off the grill, be prepared to wait at least an hour. The guy that grills was so rude and slow! Even once the meat was ready, he wouldn’t serve it! The beds are horrible and the sheets feel like sand paper. Not many places to eat, but the food itself was actually decent. Ohh and to get on the beach, you will have a walk plus go down stairs. Don’t think you will just access it close to the hotel. Also, I don’t remember any beverage service on the beach. I mean you barely had it at the hotel. This hotel needs to learn what all inclusive means and train their staff on customer service!! I will not stay there again!

The scenery is very nice. Chandra at the pool was courteous and a server at the restaurant was very pleasant as well. I believe his name was Dijion. Overall, it was a relaxing experience.

the hotel has bed bugs and hotel management will not speak to you. as convenient as it is it's definitely not worth the risk or the trip to the clinic because the hotel can't help you see a medic.

Sonesta is 5 minutes from the airport and that was good. After checking in, and asking about the view from my room, I was told I would be looking down onto the casino, but no, my room door opened onto a green floor covered roof of the fourth floor, specifically, Room 461 (don’t accept it), with the back of a large sign and air conditioning equipment. The room air conditioning wasn’t working, the room safe wasn’t working, there was a nasty stain on the sofa. They would not allow me to switch rooms without an additional cost. People were getting stuck in the elevator, and the electricity popped off a few times, and the elevator water was cold a few days. Everyone in my group of ten had air conditioning issues. Yes, one day we received written notice that there was an issue, and things would shut down for about an hour and a half while adjustments were made. I tore my shirt on a metal piece left hanging from a broken handle on a bathroom stall door on the first floor and reported it to a woman working there, with no response. The staff did seem overwhelmed, and tried their best to restore good service. The food was okay, and the entertainment staff kept us busy music, and Karaoke during the day and evening and that was it! The show at the casino with an exceptional juggler was delayed because a microphone wasn’t working. Beach access is limited for the Sonesta, only a small walking strip.
