Not well, I fell in the front entrance to the lobby. Staff pretty much asked me if I fell over my own feet, I pointed to the rug/mat that was flipped over on the corner and told them NO l tripped over the mat and one of the staff personal went and straighten it back into it’s right position and the other staff asked if I could move so the automatic doors could close and not let the clod air in. It was a beautiful day outside. I just had knee replacement the month before and pulled up my pants leg and showed them the scar so they would believe me when I said I was hurt and needed time to just set there until I was better and then I would do my best to move. I asked for a chair and someone brought me a chair and a couple of men helped me up onto the chair where after a few minutes I was able to stand and exercise and made my way to the elevator and up to my room on the second floor. I was very embarrassed and I will see my doctor soon and tell him where I fell and I’m sure he will check me out. The next few days I was very sore from the fall where my whole side and shoulders were hurting.
We really enjoy our stays at this hotel. The staff is always friendly & helpful

Why I don’t stay at La Quinta now
My teenage daughter and I checked in and received keys to a room. We went to the room and keys didn't work. We saw something (a bottle of something) in front of the door and it sounded like movement inside. We knocked - no response. Went downstairs and told Kelsey at reception that keys didn’t work (no lights at all) and also asked her to please verify room was not occupied. She called and said no one answered. Rekeyed ours and we went back upstairs. We opened the door to discover a surprised naked man in his bathroom We returned downstairs and told Kelsey. She immediately called the room and apologized profusely to the man. Then proceeded to give me a key to a room 2 doors down from him. I asked if we could please be on another floor. My daughter was incredibly overwhelmed by what had happened and not seeing him again would be best for everyone. Kelsey said it was fully booked and impossible to swap a room. Even with anyone who had not yet checked in. I begged for a solution to give the hotel a chance to make this right and was received with matter of fact face as to this is the way it is. I asked her for any recourse - calling her manager, asking if their was a booking solution to make an adjustment. She said she was not allowed to give a manager name. I was very kind feeling for her as she stated it was her mistake for writing down the wrong room number. I understand we are human and we make errors. But the unwillingness to attempt to find a better solution was not ok.
