Seems like an unsafe ghetto area. The price was cheaper than other hotels, so I expected the low quality. However, I did not appreciate the front desk asking for my email, gerting my address, and registering me--without my consent--for hotel chain membership.
There was a 2" crack under the door letting the winter draft in. I had to pin the curtains down because they were being blown open by the window unit. There was a drug baggie wrapper on the floor and other dirty things glazed over.
We booked the room online and upon arrival they charged an additional $15 deposit for the room, if it was card, and if it was cash $150. The ice machine was broken, no do not disturb door hangers, and poor maintenance. The room wasn't clean, no microwave, and broken toilet seat. The security door was also broken so anyone could just wander in. The breakfast also left something to be desired. No variety. The gravy tasted like heavily salted Crisco, the apple juice was water, the eggs made me sick, and there was no meat. Same thing every morning.
Buyer beware, this property needs some better owne
This place 4 years ago was a nice clean affordable property that I took my two young sons to, after enjoying a Tech game. Today, it was a dirty, unmaintained property that I regret staying and giving my hard earned money to. From trash in parking lot, key card never working properly, broken mini fridge, ice maker, indoor spa, to no breakfast first morning, to minimal offerings 2nd and the worst coffee. The facility indoors was dirty, floor was dusty, all the interior decor was dusty, cob webs in all rafters. I am guessing this propert was sold to new owners who do not care about the facility or customers. It was sad how far this place had fallen and I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. Find somewhere else for the money. It is not worth staying unless all you care about is the bed and shower, which that is about all it offered.
I arrived at the property (late in the evening) and my room was not cleaned. Several rooms had busted out doors and broken windows with plywood covering them. The overall property was dirty and unsafe. I ended up canceling my reservation and finding another property to stay at. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and canceled my room and said I would be getting a refund from Orbitz.
Its was very dirty. Our TV didnt work and told the attendance and noone came to fix it. This was one of the worst experiences in my whole. I wont ever forget about the bad business i got from Day Inn South lubbock tx
I am not one who usually complains but this experience was terrible. Check in was easy but from there it went down hill. The room we originally were assigned to smelled of smoke, the bed sheets had hair on them plus a few other things. They moved us to a different room when I asked to be moved but in that room one bed had clean sheets and the other bed was like the orignal one. Towells were clean but 1 had huge holes in them, so I had request towells. The tv did not have a remote and was told that tvs today do not need one to operate. Never got it to work (hotel staff tried operating it to). The phone had no receiver, so you couldn't call the desk. On a plus side there were no bugs and the bathrooms in the rooms were clean. I get that the hotel is cheap in price but one would still think they would take pride in the property. It was really disappointing for in the past the hotel used to be so nice and pretty. We will never stay there again nor would we recommend it to anyone else.

This place was a nightmare. Nothing in the room was working. The refrigerator, microwave and TV were not functioning. I went down to the front desk more than 10 times asking them to fix it. They changed the batteries in the remote but it still didn’t work. They got the TV turned on but there was only one channel. I left to buy food and when I came back I asked if they were going to fix anything. The guy just stared at me and didn’t respond. They didn’t offer me another room or do anything for me. The ice machine was non operational as well. I want to be refunded for the entire stay at this motel. I booked the room in good faith, expecting the amenities advertised on the website would be available.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed on with my wife, the facility is nasty, My hotel room Smell rotten eggs, the toilet not flushing properly, left over trash from previous occupancy, I have to switch room three time. It wasn’t a pleasant experience at all.
Was given a room. Same room was given to another family later. Said I would move to a king room, only to be given a room already occupied. Got fed up with the staff/situation and demanded a refund, then left. This hotel is horribly run. Saw 4 other users with issues as well.
