The Staybridge Suites Lubbock University area has many unaddressed maintenance issues. The elevator made load noises and needed repair. In our room, neither TV worked, some lights didn’t work, there was no coffee maker or toilet seat, the sofa bed barely opened, and the room was dark and dingy. The staff was friendly and tried hard, but the property is sorely in need of an upgrade.

Not bad, but could be better

It wasn’t too bad, but the AC unit noise in the room and the street racing/car noise from outside was SO loud I couldn’t sleep. The room was cute and pretty clean, but the bathroom could’ve been cleaner. The staff is great.

One of the worst hotels we have stepped into

Gross hotel, they are refusing to refund me 3 nights we did not stay after already being charged the cancellation policy of the first nights stay. Pool was posted to be open, it was closed the week we were staying, which was the entire reason we picked this hotel. They did not tell us about this at check in or prior to check in. They charged my card before checking ing or I never would have checked in. The lobby was in poor condition, the room was damp and smelled like mold, the floor was dirty. We communicated politely with the from desk we would not be staying and contacted expedia for a refund. Days later the manager will not refund the 3 nights we did not stay, going against their cancellation policy of first night's stay. The hotel is NOTHING like the listing photos.
