The landscaping and location are excellent and the staff is super nice. However the rooms are outdated and lack furniture and chairs. The shower is extremely slippery with no grab bars. The breakfast was mediocre. There aren’t many options in the area and this place is OK but it could be much nicer with some additional furniture and room deco updates.

Looks like a nice family perhaps owns this property and they were out (3 generations worth!) planting annuals out front when we arrived. We were there two nights. I love that this hotel has a bathtub (that actually held water!) and that I could take a bath in the evenings. Nice place in sort of the middle of nowhere, but just 10 minutes from the cute little town of Pentwater.

When the smoke alarm started to chirp annoyingly we called the front desk and it was attended to within 15 minutes. They did Ofer us a different room but the “fix” was the preferred solution. The staff are certainly on the ball it seems.
