This is a beautiful old house that is being renewed with love. Rose and George have done a wonderful job of renovating their home but still trying to keep the overall character of the house. Though we didn't have much interaction until the next morning, Rose and George are pleasant and funny. I wish we had gotten in earlier to have been able to visit more.

I was assigned the Victoria Room in this B&B that is under renovations. The hosts are very nice and quite chatty. I found the entire breakfast to be outstanding, with the banana bread, sausages and coffee as the stars of the breakfast! My room was cozy, and it had all the amenities that one needs. The waterfront where the tall ships dock was only a 10-minute walk from the B&B and there is a local pub a block away. I would highly recommend the Rose & Thistle Bed & Breakfast who want to experience such a friendly and welcoming environment.

We had an absolutely excellent stay at The Rose & Thistle Bed and Breakfast in Lunenburg. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel so welcome… warm, friendly, and attentive. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra comfortable. Breakfast was truly a highlight. Each morning started with fresh berries and yogurt, alongside homemade scones and banana bread. Then came a hot breakfast with delicious egg soufflés, perfectly cooked bacon, toast, fresh orange juice, and plenty of coffee and tea. Everything was crafted with care and absolutely delicious. On our last day, we had to hit the road early and Rose even packed us a breakfast to go… such a thoughtful, above-and-beyond gesture. It’s rare to find a place that feels both like a retreat and like home, but The Rose & Thistle manages to be both. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lunenburg!

Beautiful renovated older house in a good area for exploring Lunenburg and surrounding area. Lovely hosts providing a wonderful breakfast that keeps you going all day. Home baking an added bonus. Bed was comfortable and bathroom freshly renovated. Will definitely stay again.

This is a relatively new bed and breakfast and the house is still under construction at the side and rear of the house. It doesn't affect the rooms guests are staying in but is something to be aware of. Some smaller touches are still being refined but the effort is above and beyond. The hosts are both very warm and friendly and conversational as were other guests. It's a smaller location but close to the Lunenburg historical area and has plenty of parking for the number of guests. We had a nice stay.
