We had two rooms, one markedly smaller than the other. Thight squeeze to move around the queen bed, barely enough space to put down my on-board case and open it. Bathroom was tiny and in need of updating. Niche for the toilet was about 6ft. tall. Minimal amenities. Same price as the bigger room. Not worth the price. Talked to the receptionist, but no lowering of the price. Location is great and the continental breakfast is good.

Great little hotel in an excellent hotel
The location was excellent - in the Williams II square and very close to a tram and bus stops which go directly to the Gare and the airport. Room was nice and clean. Simple and nice breakfast provided. Staff spoke English and very helpful and courteous!

Disappointing behind a fancy facade.
The location was perfect sitting on the square in the centre of the Old Town. Unfortunately this is where the positivity ends. We were kept awake all night by endless noise including the bells of the Notre Dame, street cleaning vehicles, building works etc The facilities in the room were non existent. For a room attracting a premium price the least I’d expect is tea/coffee making facilities, but there were none in the room. The toilet paper was single ply and just felt cheap. Breakfast was below average and was served to us on a tray like school children. It included cold meats that were wasted as 2 of our party were unable to eat it due to one being a vegetarian, and one being Muslim (so does not consume pork). There was no fruit available. It was the worst breakfast I have experienced in a hotel on the continent.

The hotels location was what attracted me the most as it is easily walkable to all the highlights. The staff was super friendly the rooms are kept up and clean. The shower in our room was small for a big guy like myself but that would not stop me from staying here again.

This is a clean and fantastically located hotel. It's more of a European-style pension with smallish rooms and adequate bedding. It's exactly as advertised. The one caution I would give is that you need to be okay with using stairs - it is not handicap-accessible.

My stay at Hotel Vauban in Luxembourg City was a mixed bag of experiences. On the positive side, the hotel's location is fantastic, offering easy access to all the tourist spots and restaurants in the area. However, there were some notable issues during our stay. We encountered an awkward situation where the cleaner on our first day insisted on cleaning the room while we were still present, which was uncomfortable. Another disappointment was the breakfast offering. Despite advertising a buffet, the reality fell short of expectations. Instead of a buffet spread, we were served a minimal selection consisting of two pieces of bread, a handful of salami slices, basic spreads like butter and jam, juice, coffee, yogurt, and a small slice of cheese. This was far from the promised buffet experience. Overall, while the location of Hotel Vauban is excellent, breakfast quality is needed to elevate the guest experience.

The hotel is really well located but that is the only positive aspect of our stay. We could barely sleep because there was lot of noise coming from the streets and the breakfast was underwhelming

Great experience at the Vauban
Stayed only one night but were impressed with the location, service and breakfast. The lady at the front desk ( from Romania sorry didn’t get her name ) was absolutely delightful and very helpful, particularly with directions 😀 Definitely plan to stay at the Vauban again during our next stay in Luxembourg.

The staff were wonderful and very kind. The only disappointment was the elevator. As a person with a mild disability, having to walk a full flight of stairs to get to the elevator as well as another few stairs to get to the room was very frustrating
