Very close to the beach and shops. Parking is tight but manageable. Staff friendly. Good variety for breakfast, but ask if you like eggs runny as they are well overcooked.

The room we were allocated was very small for us with a dog (classed as a comfy room). This was the room the hotel imformed us was what Expedia told them we had booked.???? Other than that the hotel is fantastic. Close to the shops,beach,restaurants and parking on site (free) The swimming pool was great ,the bar was warm and friendly, the staff warm,friendly and helpful . Would definitely go back to this hotel but would book a large room because of our dog..

Have stayed at the Royal Lion about 10 times now and its always good, nice people, lovely area, great food both breakfast in the dining room and lunch or dinner in the restaurant or bar. Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing stay in Lyme Regis

Had a great stay - it’s an older building so expect creaky floors and smaller rooms but the character of the place is amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
