The hotel was a good surprise. We had a cozy room but it was enough to host our family with 2 small kids. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The hotel location is very convenient, close to the Perrache train station (walkable) and with plenty of restaurants close by. We had a very comfortable stay.

La chambre était super, le service également! Le seul hic c’est que l’hôtel est située sur une rue très passante avec beaucoup de construction qui commence dès 8am. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour, et Lyon est une ville magnifique.

Good choice for an inexpensive hotel in Lyon. Good location. Simple clean and tidy rooms, courteous staff. No fridge in room and the bathroom while clean and tidy was 1970s vintage with shower in bath. You get what you pay for and I would recommend. Family rooms also a good option.

Great location for exploring on foot. Very friendly, helpful staff. Lots of good bars, cafes, restaurants, and shopping in the immediate vicinity. A little construction noise ftom outside in the mornings. Good value.

AC works well. Location is excellent, close to all forms of transportation as well as neighborhood restaurants. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The building is a bit older but well-kept. All in all, I am glad I stayed at Du Simplon.

It is at a prime location. However the toilet has a strong odor and the hair dryer is a joke because it constantly shuts off after overheating.

its clean enough but the upper bunk bed I think its too dangerous even for my 10 yo. The guardrails is too low as the mattress is too thick. The family room decor is a bit dated compare to the other rooms I can see in photo but clean enough.
