We loved this place because of its location and architectural beauty of the building. It gives you a sense of luxury from the room to the hall way. The food served at the Chinese restaurant in the hotel was up to par. One thing on my wish list is a more professional pool suitable for swimming, and not just for playing with water. Also, if the windows are cleaner, it will make it perfect!

From the moment I arrive at the Sofitel it was a wonderful experience. The ambassador Ms. Jenny, concierge Rocky and the front desk were able to discretely setup our room special for my anniversary. Completely surprising my girlfriend when we entered the room. This far exceeded my expectations. At the Renezvous bar Reine and Rose Ann kept us entertained with conversations and advice on what to while we were in Macau. Jerome and Brain helped us at the Mistral restaurant answering questions about the food and providing us with soft drinks. Between the hotel and especially the staff had made our stay one of the best experiences I have had at a hotel. I can’t recommend this place enough and looking to another visit.

Decent size hotel with a view of the fort and the ruins of St Pau. Pretty convenient to walk to old town. The free shuttle bus runs hourly from outer harbour unlike the other hotels’ shuttle bus services. Also their free shuttle to HZMB starts only at 1015am. It also doesn’t go across to the Cotai peninsula. This is the only downside to what I would deem a wonderful stay.

Two minor points. 1) Both fridges were not cold, not operating properly. 2) Light switches far to complicated and recommend a note be left to indicate that the bedroom reading light is buried in the bedside table! Overall fantastic experience at the Sofitel Mansion, definitely worth a revisit.

The hotel was an amazing experience!! the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food, the pool was really nice with a stunning view and overall the hotel was spacious and wonderful. I totally recommend this hotel!!!

The location of this hotel is perfect for us, near enough to walk to the cluster of casino hotels, away from the massive crowds. We stayed during the golden week holidays, so the city is very crowded. We are most grateful to David from the concierge team. Wednesday evening we were at the taxi queue in the hotel. it ws dinner time and we waited quite a while. David told us that there's alot of traffic around the hotel, and no taxis will be able to come in, we may be better off getting one from the streets, and he will show us the way. What we didnt expect is that, not only he show us the place by the road to flag a taxi, he waited with us and tried to get a taxi for us! He gave chase when one vacant taxi drove passed us, but the driver is not taking passengers. He then give us alternatives to take the bus to Wynn hotel since there seem to be really no available taxis. He told us not only it is the golden week, there is also Andy Lau's concert happening, so the taxis are mostly at cotai area by now. He checked the arrival times of the bus, ensured that we got into the bus safely then he walked back to the hotel. This level of help that he extends to us, and we see that he gave to other guests in the hotel, is way over our expectations, he is a GEM! We will definitely stay at Sofitel when we go Macau next time.

Sofitel offers excellent value. The property was luxurious, staff were friendly and we got a room upgrade after deciding to purchase the breakfast buffet.The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Senado Square for site seeing and food. Everything exceeded my expectations and I would come back over some of the hotels in Cotai because of the value and proximity to cultural attractions.
