The limited interactions we had with the staff were pleasant enough. The room we received did not match the photos and it was so tiny you could barely move around. There was no hot water. It was unseasonably warm when we visited and the front desk warned us about the mosquitoes, but said the room had a fan to use (the windows don't have screens). The "fan" was a tiny floor model (perhaps 24 inches tall) that barely worked and was very loud, so it was useless. So, we had to sleep in a stuffy, dark room with no air the night before our visit to MP. We were charged extra for using a credit card, even though this wasn't disclosed on the reservation. Obviously you're paying for the location, but for $150 US, I would have expected better.

Very basic, no towel racks, only one chair, two coat hooks, no shampoo/soap shelf, no safe or mini fridge. No window screens for mosquitoes. Staff was very friendly though.

Great staff, very responsive. Able to leave bags at front desk securely if you need to check out before going to Machupicchu. Credit card machine was broken when we went so had to pay in cash but it was not a big deal. They sell mosquito sprays by the front desk and other items. Serve breakfast every morning, and offers omelets on demand. Overall great value for price and location, would recommend.

Wonderful hotel! Wonderful location with amazing view of the Urubamba river from the balcony! The staff was great and they keep our luggage and also offer to send it to the train station. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was excellent!
