The room was clean, ready on time, and the staff was kind. My keycard stopped working, but that was resolved quickly. I wasn’t there long enough to check out the pool or fitness area. The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast area is a bit weirdly laid-out (the trash can is rather far from where the goopy cups of waffle batter are, for instance) - I feel like re-organizing those counters with an attention to “flow” might be useful.

Breakfast was good. Staff that was there when I got there was non-existent. I waited and waited and I yelled hello.. a lady came around the corner and rudely said check in is not until 3. I just had a question to see if I could leave my luggage there until check in . Other than that it was a nice hotel and staff AT check in was kind.

There is no communication between Expedia and this hotel. I have to stay multiple nights per week in a hotel in Macomb, IL and will never again try to book here. The staff was unpleasant over the phone and because a third party was used to initially book (how would I know not to do this (?) ) the hotel says my cancellation is not valid and charged me $290 with no explanation or refund.
