My husband & I were just traveling through & needed a place to sleep after a long day of driving. This Hotel was under construction, but the staff were friendly, the room was clean & the bed was comfortable. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby.

What I did NOT like is that thee was no hot water the night I stayed nor was there any hot water the next morning. I let the shower run for 20 minutes the night and for 20 minutes them morning and never had hot water. This was very disappointing as I had driven over 900 miles and wanted a hot shower. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told that in that room the shower controls were backward and hot was cold and cold was hot. This was a poor attempt to explain no hot water. If it was so, I should have been informed. However, it was NOT so, as I tried that tactic and still had no hot water. I should be given a full refund for the lackluster accomodations and for the staff lying to me. Very, very disappointed in Candlewood.
It was a great stay! The room was wonderful! The only thing I wish they had is breakfast. Other than that, it was great!

Bed was too hard. Very uncomfortable. Bathroom handicapped equipped shower water ran out onto floor. Had to use towels instead of bath mat. Also mold around the shower Crome on nozzle.

Very uptight and haughty staff, no breakfast options at all, employees unwilling to help, employees acted as though we were bothering them when asked anything
The carpet throughout the entire room was DISGUSTING and sticky. Our shoes were sticking to the floor. Every single chair in the room was stained and sticky. We reserved the king bedroom suite which consisted of a living room and kitchen area and a bedroom with a door. The ONLY source of air conditioning/heating was in the living room area. For the bedroom, they have cut a hole in the wall, placed approximately 1 foot by 1 foot fan in the wall between the living room and bedroom. It was 80 degrees when we arrived so I had to go out and purchase a fan just so we could get a bit of air flow. As I was checking out the next morning, the attendant asked about our stay. When I explained why I stated it was horrible, she said she would let the manager know and offered to give me IHG points for the inconvenience.
