Great Hotel!

This is an excellent hotel. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are immaculate. They have lots of amenities and a great free breakfast. We stay there every time we go to Macon to visit family. It’s also convenient to a lot of retail and great restaurants. I consider it the best place to stay in Macon.

I liked the ease of traveling southbound to Florida - for us it was a great location that maximized our travel efforts for the day. It's also in proximity to Buccees gas stations and our kids liked that.

Expensive for the quality

Arrived around 11:30pm - long line to check in only one worker. Directions to the curtains (affixed to the wall) were wrong so we looked for “a switch by the desk” for 10 minutes. Then my son went to the desk to ask them to help and they were like @that sign is wrong.” Very helpful

Front desk staff was very kind. Unfortunately when we arrived at our room we could see from the doorway the bathroom floor was not clean, there was stuff on the main room floor as well, the surfaces were not wiped down (we could see food crumbs and cup rings and hairs). The staff at the front desk was apologetic and switched us to another room. It was stated that the housekeeping manager had not been there that day. The new room appeared clean but it was hard to put the first one out of our minds. I’ve stayed at other Tru Hiltons and have been happy, hoping this was just an odd unfortunate occurrence.
