The room I was checked into had bugs everywhere. I don’t know what kind of bugs they were but they were everywhere. On the bed, sink, floor, ceiling.

Many guests are marginally homeless, but it did not feel unsafe. Funky smell in the corridor, but the room was fine and clean. Convenient to shopping and dining and downtown. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Madison on my own dime.

A man came to my door at midnight and asked me to let him in and he wouldn’t stop knocking on my door and asking me to come in and then in the morning Too another guy came and knocked on my door and wanted me to let them in I told the front desk what was going on and I wanted an escort out and she wouldn’t do it so I had to call the police to escort me out because I was so scared. I still haven’t gotten a refund that I asked for cause I was up all night scared. I called Corporate and I got a police report there’s drug addicts out in the parking lot that shoot up right outside the windows. They let anyone stay in the parking lot drunk everyone drug addicts like everywhere. I would never never stay here again and I suggest nobody does. Do not stay here I warn you you don’t wanna go come get a police escort. I have yet to hear back from the manager.

We rented the room for 3 nights, moved out before the second night. We suffered in silence when the AC pumped out only dank, warm, humid air, making sleep nearly impossible. But we left when an enormous bug scampered across the bathroom floor and disappeared up a crack. Google pics could not decide if it was a cockroach or a black beetle. We didn't really care. Either way, they're in the walls. And that's just not okay The neighborhood was ok, except for the parking lot riffraff of this one establishment, our Motel 6. Finally, the place is a collapsing parallelogram --none of the doors open easily, including the emergency exit. It was unacceptably janky.

I waited for 20 minutes for someone to check me in, and they never came to the desk. Come to find out that the ac was broken and other guests were at the front desk complaining how unbearable it was. I decided to leave and go to a different motel.

The bare necessities, and less

On the plus side, the front desk clerk was cheerful and competent under pressure (long check-in line, computer screw-ups), and the room was clean. On the negative side, no fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker, no shampoo, for pete's sake. I understand that Model 6 is not the Four Seasons, but we paid full list because there was a big concert in town, so this was all double annoying.
