The hallways and rooms smelled of marijuana and our bathtub shower had some kind of patch in it and sunk in when you stood in it. Water also shot out the side of the pipe when you turned the shower on. Room was dirty when we got there the first night but maid did a good job of cleaning in our second night.

When I arrived there was a man in the lobby (looking disheveled, drunk, and no indication he was a guest at the hotel) . He was sitting in the chair near the computer in the common area of the lobby with his hand in his unbuttoned pants. I will let you make your own conclusion on that. He startled me because I did not notice him when I came in the door and there wasn't anyone manning the front desk. I was pretty nervous about when this man approached me as I was alone. Thankfully my service dog was with me, because he made me uncomfortable and nervous given his condition and demeanor. I rang the lobby "bell" and the attendant came out from a back office promptly. I asked if he knew this man and if he was a guest, and the front desk man shrugged and said he didn't know. I explained what I witnessed and he did not care and just proceeded to check me in. That was my welcome experience. The attendant's native accent was very strong and it was difficult to understand him. Otherwise, he was very polite. This property is a motel at best. No amenities and thin, rough towels. I booked last minute as there were no other hotels available because it was a big weekend in Madison. The price was equivalent to a Hilton or Marriott ($$$) which was not commensurate given the quality of this property.

The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. But the bathroom had a moldy smell and there was a bug(roach) in our room. I was disappointed because I feel like the room was overpriced.

Nice little hotel!
My boyfriend and I are in between apartments right now and we decided to stay at this location due to it being super close to our work. The rooms are clean, modern, and the staff at the front desk were helpful.

You could easily call this a dump or a dive hotel. The rooms, bathroom, and facility are run down and dirty and smelly. If you have any chance to get a room at the AmericInn across the highway, it is HUGELY better (great!) and for the same price or maybe $5-10 more. We tried Quality Inn once and will never use it again. Parts of the toilet and shower were broken, and the room smelled bad and our clothes even smelled bad later that night after leaving. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. Lots of highway noise and AC noise.

Not bad, but NOT "Near University"
Definitely NOT "NEAR University" - it's like 6 miles away. Room and bed were comfortable, but stains on air conditioner unit & in tub + room had masked odor as if previously may have been a smoking room. Hotel overall okay, but very old-looking, though they have definitely remodeled enough to make it okay. Breakfast was pretty bland. No elevators. Staff was prompt, nice & courteous! We were there for a game weekend, so payed $250/night which is definitely too much for this level of hotel, but overall it wasn't bad.

It’s a dumb little thing, but we had trouble getting comfortably situated on the bed. It seemed to slope off to each side. I fell out a couple of times. Perhaps the mattress pads made it more difficult.

Overall, this motel was what we expected. Went for UW College Reunion, and it is a little farther from campus than where we stayed 13 years ago, but highway access easy, and drive to downtown 15-20 min. Room for two with double bed a bit tight. I travel with suitcase, guitar and some laptop extras in knapsack, so had to move items around bed, chair and desk area when accessing guitar or knapsack. Floor space for floor exercise, which I do daily only possible between sink and bathroom. Not downtown hotel style luxury, but price was very reasonable. Included breakfast offered more broad and ample selection than I have seen in similar located motels recently - dry/hot cereal, eggs, sausage, toast, waffle maker, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, apples. Staff very friendly, check-in, parking easy. There is a large mall nearby, but didn't go there. Restaurants nearby probably close kitchens at 10 pm.
