My experience at Hostal wasn’t good. First of all, I paid for a room with city view and air conditioning. Once I arrived the lady in charge of the hostal placed me in a room where the AC unit didn’t work. After that she located me in another room AC, but 10 minutes later she came to my room and asked me to move to an interior room without City view. So, you never know what’s is going to happen with them.

I stay here in my way home to Texas from my home in Pamplona. Love to eat at the Prada El Tope down the street. Santa Anna Plaza is very convenient. For this hotel....rooms by the street are loud (to be expected), interior rooms are better. Just a good bunk for the night before heading home.

Convenient location close to historical landmarks and top sights in Madrid. Also walking distance to lots of dining options, and shopping. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only problem we encountered is that we were not aware that front desk reception is on the second floor of the building. It would help to have signs indicating this.

The hotel is close to Plaza Puerta del Sol and close to a lot of small restaurants and bars. It was crowded and loud on a Saturday night, but a lot of fun.

The hostal is clean, good condition inside. Outside area is dirty, maybe because at night is a busy street and you can hear people talking until early 3_4 a.m. It's in the center of Madrid. Location is very convenient.
