Wonderful

Really enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable, spacious room with AC. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Not the biggest bedrooms, but clean. Prime location. Walking distance to everything like metro, restaurants, and shopping. Finding the entrance was a little confusing. It says hostel but it's clean and modern. Consistent hot water, ac, and an elevator are a gem in Europe. Would stay again.

location was superb, the hotel/hostal was ok, no lobby, just a reception desk on a second floor accessing via stairs or a tiny elevator that fills up with three ppl or two with luggage, rooms are just ok, full of wall cracks, no air extractor in bathrooms so smells and moisture stays there , no room service, good thing includes bfast on a near by restaurant, pretty decent

Great Stay!

Front desk was excellent. Answered all our questions and gave us tips about locations to go, dining, security, etc. So nice and helpful! Room was small but we didn't spend too much time in it, basically to sleep. Close to trains, metros, buses. Right in the middle of downtown so everything was close. Awesome location!

Basic but close to historic downtown

This hotel offers very basic rooms for a not-cheap price. On the upside, it is in the historic downtown area and therefore very convenient, and the staff were very helpful. I was put off by the high ceilings in the rooms and hallway, making noise an issue. Also, it is laid out in one very long and twisting corridor (because, it was explained, it is an historic building and can't be altered) with no fire exits or visible smoke detectors. It is on the second floor (equivalent to the third floor in the USA) in what appears to be an office building.

The location was great, and the apartment could have been as well. There was only enough hot water for 1.5 short showers each day - and there were three of us staying. There is a large leak in the kitchen that has clearly been there for some time - causing a bad smell throughout the apartment. There are several light bulbs out, creating dark bathrooms & showers. Only 2 towels were provided per bathroom for a 4 night, 3 person stay. There was no WIFI or hairdryer - even though the listing clearly indicated both were provided. The first floor heating unit stopped working after the first day - leaving the main area (kitchen and couch area) extremely cold - we had to stay in the bedrooms. We did not let these things ruin our Madrid trip but it was very disappointing for the amount of money we paid. Expedia/owners should refund some of our cost due to the number of issues that occurred.

I made the reservation for a larger more comfortable room. The picture showed a room with a double bed and a twin bed. When i arrived a had a double bed with little to room around the bed. Very small room. The AC/ heater did not work and when it did it only ran on AC DURING THE WINTER!!. Very cold room. The halls are very dark. the elevator is tiny to say the least. and there is only one. The hotel share the building with a residence.It is just very unorganized and will never go back!!!
